Hygienist Session Worldwide

Today I had my first check-up since "lockdown" and was very impressed with the service. Extensive measures and professionalism ere exhibited to ensure that there was minimal risk to staff or patients. I am a busy General Practitioner and despite living near Swansea feel it is a worthwhile investment of my time commuting to Penarth for dental services with the Smile Studio. Not only is the care received exemplary, but the staff all feel like friends. The personal interest in taking a genuine interest in my life goes far above and beyond what I would expect from any medical establishment and impresses me greatly. When I chipped a tooth just before I was due to fly and get married in 2019, The Smile Studio ensured that the experience was as stress-free as possible by ensuring the problem was fixed promptly and were very accommodating to my work commitments in doing so. I cannot recommend the team highly enough for their technical knowledge, professionalism and for always going above & beyond for their patients.

I attended the clinic in February 2022, firstly the price, my work was two thirds cheaper than the UK, obviously, it will vary depending on the work but even with flights and hotel, it is so much cheaper than the UK. The clinic is very modern and state of art equipment and very clean, the staff were very friendly and professional, they spoke good English and my dentist was excellent, he knows his stuff and did a great job. I am back for the second phase of treatment in August 2022 and have full confidence in getting any treatment in the future, why get ripped off in the UK for better treatment at the fraction of the cost, yes the transfer from Budapest is a bit of a drag, but all sorted via the clinic and a small price to pay for what is a genuinely first-rate service. The dentist changed my plan when he first met me, which saved me over a thousand which showed me he was more concerned about the quality of the outcome over profit, what a shame its not the way in the UK. In short, I can't recommend the service enough, the best choice I have made in terms of treatment.

Astek have their dental lab on site which is how I believe all dentists should be set up. I had a front tooth knocked out in a childhood accident and have since been very conscious of the way my smile looks. In today's world of working on Teams and video calls for the main part, this was becoming more and more problematic for me. So along with attending appointments with my dentist, Leila, for general dentistry she took impressions and Ailsa, the proprietor, created two bespoke veneers to make my front teeth appear more normal and worked with both me and my lovely dentist, to tailor my smile when I wasn’t initially delighted with the result - cancelling afternoon appointments until we were done. Two veneers sound a simple, ordinary thing, but I actually didn’t have two front teeth to work with – just one front tooth and a smaller, differently shaped, side tooth which looked quite odd. I now don’t even think about my teeth when I’m on screen which is such a relief. Thank you so much Astek! To say I am a nervous patient is an understatement. Leila has been so patient and kind with me and I am so much more confident in the chair with her. She has also managed to sort out gum issues that have persisted for over 40 years, and now when I’m brushing my teeth there is no sign of anything in the sink but toothpaste. She also keeps me on track when I’m not doing as well as I should be, advising on which brushes, and toothpaste for sensitivity, and even demonstrating that you can get the largest of teepees into some very small spaces. Just completed a course of treatment to solve my dental problems several different issues being resolved with excellent results. Including new dentures, amalgam removal and replacement with white filling, tooth whitening, dental hygienist, and extraction of wisdom tooth which resulted in needing an emergency appointment for dry socket. The emergency response was excellent given an appointment within two hours of the telephone call and this was at the weekend. All the staff are caring and interested in patients' well-being. Very good control of infection measures and a high standard of cleanliness throughout the clinic. Not cheap but worth every penny.

Dr Kahn is an amazing dentist of the highest caliber. Her knowledge, professionalism, care and empathy go well beyond anything I have experienced in Dentistry Field in the last 40 years. Her clinic has the most up-to-date equipment and together with her vast and constantly building knowledge, she can provide the most complete and accurate solution for your needs. I highly recommend her above all other dentists.

Dr Waheed is very professional, friendly and kind. I was a very nervous patient and she put me at ease immediately. She discussed my options and treatment with me and made sure I understood and agreed before starting my treatment. I am extremely happy with my treatment and the charges were more than competitive. All the staff are friendly and supportive. I have taken out an insurance policy with the practice to cover further inspections and cleaning. I would definitely recommend this practice.
