Clare has over 15 yrs of experience working in both the public and private health service in the UK and Ireland. Gorey in County Wexford in Ireland is the location of this physiotherapy and sports injury clinic. Conditions treated at the clinic include musculoskeletal problems, nerve related conditions, male and female incontinence, pregnancy related musculoskeletal pain, headaches, sports injuries and work related injuries. Procedures performed include manual therapy, NST or neuro structural integration technique, acupuncture, electrotherapy, exercise rehabilitation, fitting customized orthotic insoles and craniosacral therapy. Home visits are arranged for patients who are unable to personally visit the clinic.

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist Michael Otto will be able to assess and suggest the best source of action to help you get back on the road to recovery.  He uses treatments such as massage, manipulations, acupuncture, pilates and Alexander technique.  This can be a one off visit for acute pain relief or longer term treatment plans for long standing or recurrent problems. Although treatment is offered for all common complaints Michael Otto has a specialisation in treating lower back pain and recurrent running injuries. 

The heart of my practice is detailed history taking and biomechanical examination of the musculoskeletal (MSK) system to reach the definite diagnosis. Aids to this can be MSK ultrasonography. Our approach is very evidence-based upon physical medicine + MSK medicine + sports medicine. The basis of the treatment plans is eventually being able to optimize the MSK system in order to prevent pain/injuries and have the patients return to/start a long term exercise program.
