About Dr Cavit Meclisi MSK & Sports Injury Clinic

The heart of my practice is detailed history taking and biomechanical examination of the musculoskeletal (MSK) system to reach the definite diagnosis. Aids to this can be MSK ultrasonography.

Our approach is very evidence-based upon physical medicine + MSK medicine + sports medicine. The basis of the treatment plans is eventually being able to optimize the MSK system in order to prevent pain/injuries and have the patients return to/start a long term exercise program.

I had lower and upper back pain for several months, despite a couple of trips to an osteopath. It was then severely aggravated by a long-haul flight.

I went to the clinic and after an initial assessment I received a mixture of massage, electrotherapy, hot and cold packs, acupuncture (dry needles), ultraviolet light therapy and was taken through a series of exercises to carry-out at home.

The total session lasted around 3 hours, for the original consultation price of 350TL (with an extra 70TL for acupuncture), which I found very reasonable for such a thorough treatment session.

I had significantly more flexibility after the first session and a lot less pain after the second.

The clinic seemed very professional, was clean and comfortable.

My physio was extremely friendly and spoke excellent English. She was constantly making sure I was comfortable and very accommodating when I was late. She also checked with the senior doctor on a couple of occasions when my back was extremely sensitive.

Would definitely recommend.
