All-on-4 Dental Implants San José

I first heard about Dr. Urzola by a random person in Tamarindo so I did some research and found that he has good reviews. I contacted Urzola's office and got very quick responses and quickly noticed that they seem to be very organized. That kind of organization lets me feel a bit more at-ease. I had already gotten a couple quotes from other implant places in the US so I was aware of US prices and being quoted 1/3 what the US price is for the dental work made it a top contender. Shortly thereafter I talked with Dr. Urzola personally about my personal case and my existing implants and he really made me feel at ease. I flew to San Jose, CR late February and spent a week there. They put me under with anesthesia and it was an excellent choice. It's a general anesthesia but not as deep as going in for a surgery. I had no issues with coming out of the anesthesia which was amazing because I have a history of not remembering where I am or having a difficult time coming out of anesthesia. It was a fantastic experience. I had them do full upper and lower implants which meant removing all my existing teeth but leaving in place my current implant posts so they could be reused into the overall mouth reconstruction. After removing my teeth they made me the temporary set which is essentially a type of dentures that is not removable. I left there with TEETH. Going in I had one tooth on the top of my mouth and I left with teeth! So amazing! My mouth surprisingly didn't hurt so much the first week. Granted, I was on pain killers but I expected more pain. One thing I found really interesting is that Dr. Urzola stitched my gums together after placing some implants under the gums and that seemed to *really* help with healing and keeping food and bacteria out of the sockets. I went back 2 weeks ago and got the finals and WOW! Let me tell you their zirconia finals are GORGEOUS. Seriously terrific! I'll be honest, my second trip hurt more than the first because they had to open up the gums to get to the implants placed under the gums and those hurt because of inflammation when they tighten the implants down to it. It's to be expected and I had them put them on without anesthesia so that I wouldn't be bothered with numb lips. Basically, I didn't have to hurt if I wasn't being vain but I really wanted to see my smile with lips that moved freely. I'm glad I did it this way because it allowed me to feel really comfortable with the fit and really lowered my anxiety even if it hurt (A LOT). If you don't like pain... just have them numb the gums and you'll be far better off. They offered several times... I just turned it down. I did get to see the lab while I was there and I'm really impressed. It really is right next door to their office and the lab is outfitted with everything needed to do the zirconia including the initial blank cutting and the baking of the teeth at 938 degrees F. It was really great being able to see the lab, especially because I'm into 3D printing and I understand how the tooling the lab has works. The whole staff at Urzola Dentistry is fantastic. This clinic couldn`t be better named. It is clearly the best choice you will ever make when deciding on the surgeries and friendly, professional care that they offer. Not speaking Spanish I would have been completely lost here without them. I was met at the airport past midnight, and driven to my accommodations which were modern, clean, very reasonably priced, and beautifully appointed. It felt like a home away from home. They took the time to bring all of my luggage up to the unit and spent some time reassuring me that they were there for me every step of the way and that I was not alone. In the 10 days that I spent here, I was never disappointed. I was brought to all of my clinic appointments, to the grocery store, the pharmacy, and anywhere I wanted or needed to go. I had a personal liaison, interpreter, guide, and friend who took my best interests to heart. If I was being overcharged somewhere they negotiated or brought me to where I would be treated fairly. I never had to worry about a thing. The surgeries were painless. I was followed very closely every day by an amazing, painless implantologist/surgeon. I received additional therapies to help in my healing process by friendly professional nurses and technicians. Truthfully, I felt pampered in every sense of the word. I recently travelled to Costa Rica to meet an unusual man, whom I came to admire, a dentist with integrity , talent vision , knowledge, experience and a passion to achieve exellence in every form of dentistry he excels in. I researched many dental clinics in several countries.I was in contact,regularly, with at least seven dentists and dental coordinators, listening, learning basic terminology etc. I chose Costa Rica Dental Clinic. I was impressed from the very beginning, but as my research progressed Dr. Gadea and his highly trained and efficient staff were like a beacon in the in the fog. I had a full mouth of zirconia crowns custom fit and adheard to my existing teeth with precision accuracy. I'm whole again and it feels so natural, like my teeth looked when I was a young man full himself with large healthy teeth until I ground them down by grinding them all day and in my sleep, often grinding my teeth to comfort me to sleep. Dr Gadea and his staff exude calm excellence while shining like the pros they are. I followed my mind and my heart and Im ecstatic with my self about that as well as the big beautiful super human set of teeth.

Seven of my family members and a few coworkers have gone to Dr Calvo for dentistry work. So while my sister was travelling to have work done that she was quoted $31,000 in the USA, I decided to go with her and have some minor work done. I was so amazed how smooth the whole process is. From the second you land at the airport and Olger picks you up, through the initial check-up by Dr Calvo and the estimate to go the work to the work being done for a fraction of the cost of US dentist. Dr Calvo and his staff are very professional, speak fluent English explains everything he can do for you and the price. While having the work done they are caring and gentle. My sisters total price was $3400 compared to the $31,000 estimate she received in the USA. She didn’t need as much as she was told by the US dentist but did receive four root canals and a bridge with six teeth, as well as a deep cleaning. All done within two visits/ two days. Surprisingly she had NO PAIN whatsoever. I just had a deep cleaning, three silver/mercury fillings I got when I was a child replaced, and a whitening treatment and paid right at $500 No pain and now I have the most shiniest teeth that I have had in years. The office is well equipped and very clean. The shopping centre is very nice and clean At the end of the shopping center is a very nice grocery store that has everything you could possibly need. So happy I finally decided to come to see for myself how wonderful Dr Calvo and Olger are. Absolutely the BEST.

Their dental care is first class. They do what they say they will, they answer questions, and the dentists and technicians are capable and competent. They provide transportation. The treatment itself was fairly painless, which is good because I'm a boob. They are patient and always pleasant. I was very pleased and will return.

I have been a repeat visitor to this exceptional dental clinic since 2016. Several visits. Zero complaints. This team has mastered the art of serving the customer.
