I think the best way to review my great experience with Costa Rica Dental Services is to paste the four successive posts I made on Facebook to share with my friends. I'm staying in Costa Rica and Panama for four months to avoid winter at home but the primary reason for coming is my dental work.

I had my initial appointment with Dr Rodolfo Gadea at his Costa Rica Dental Services clinic and I'm highly impressed. Everything about it was excellent. The staff is very efficient and capable and the facility and equipment are state of the art. Better than my former dentist in Rochester, NY and more advanced x-ray technology than Summit Dental in Geneseo. Most importantly, I save $3000 on the cost of the work at home. I go back Monday for the two surgical extractions and bone grafts and will be fitted with a temporary bridge. I'll return in 8 weeks for my permanent 4 unit bridge. I couldn't be more confident and comfortable with this clinic.

The first phase of my dental work is finished and went very well. Surgical extractions of the remaining foundations of my two upper front centre teeth followed by bone grafts in their place and shaving down the two teeth on either side for the anchor crowns of the four-unit permanent bridge. It was the most involved dental treatment I've ever had. I have a couple of follow-up checks over the next week. I'll return to the clinic in eight weeks, after the grafts have taken, to get my permanent, four crown bridge. It will be full ceramic zirconia which is better quality than the standard porcelain fused to metal crowns that dentists at home proposed.
I was highly impressed with every part of the procedure. Dr Gadea is a master, his technicians are skilled and polished pros. My mouth is a bit sore but not a problem and I have medication. Surgical extractions are more involved than regular ones. The Dr. instructed me to consume only cold soft foods and drinks today so I've had several ice creams and smoothies and will enjoy a couple of beers later under doctor's orders.

Monday I had my first of three appointments this week at Costa Rica Dental Services. Now that the two bone grafts from December have established themselves I needed an impression mould for my permanent four units upper front bridge which I'll receive Thursday. I am also having a three-unit bridge that had badly deteriorated replaced. One of the two supporting teeth required a root canal and both needed extensive buildup to prep for the new bridge. I spent three hours in the chair but it went very well. I am once more fully impressed with the skilful treatment I received from Dr Gadea, Dr Hernandez, and their technicians.
The second bridge will cost an additional $2100, including the root canal and buildup, but it had to be done. It raises my total cost to $4300 but the work would have cost well over $10,000 at home so I've saved at least $6000, which is absolutely amazing. I'll report on the final results in a couple of days.

I had my three and four crown permanent bridges put in yesterday and are very happy with their look, feel, and quality. They are full ceramic Zirconia which is highly durable and better than porcelain fused to metal crowns, which is the material I would have gotten at home. It's great to have my full biting and chewing capability back after more than a year of ongoing problems. Dr Gadea and his team are the best I've ever experienced and I saved $6000. I can't say enough about this clinic!
