Existing in the world is not always easy. It can result in you feeling misunderstood by others or feeling alone, even though there are lots of people around. Sometimes it means life is a struggle and you can end up feeling stuck, unable to move forward. Perhaps something doesn't feel quite right but you're not sure what it is. Relationships can be complicated and communication difficult.  The past can keep troubling you or the future can seem anxiety-provoking or bleak. Traumatic events from the past can leave you feeling shattered and broken inside.  Do you ever find yourself repeating the same mistakes and asking 'How have I ended up here again?'. Whether you have been given a particular diagnosis from a GP/medical practitioner or have a general sense that something in your life is not working for you, I recognise that it's not always easy to be in the world and offer Counselling and Psychotherapy as a way of exploring whatever it is that you might be struggling with.  My personal and professional experience lends itself to a strong belief in people and in the therapeutic process and what it can offer.   I have over 6 years experience working therapeutically with adults, both in private practice and charitable counselling organisations.  My therapeutic work is also supported by over 12 years experience working with vulnerable adults, children, adolescents and families in the public and private sector as well as charities.  This has included working in areas such as me

Psychotherapy means ‘treatment of the mind’ there are many different types of therapy encompassed in this term including; hypnotherapy, hypno-psychotherapy, councelling, Brief solution focused therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychoanalytical Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Humanistic/Transpersonal Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique or E.F.T and N.L.P or Neuro Linguistic Programming. Psychotherapy involves verbal interaction between client and therapist in order to understand and resolve problems. Much of who we are, what we are and how we deal with our day to day lives is hidden from our conscious mind or everyday awareness and we build defence mechanisms in order to hide the things that we find most difficult to cope with. Psychotherapy treats the whole person and can help you to explore present circumstances that you are finding difficult, experiences from the past that you are finding hard to come to terms with and future events that you may be worried about. Psychotherapy helps to validate you as a person, your feelings, your behaviour, helps you to make sense of emotions that may be controlling you and the experiences that trigger them. During the process your self-esteem and confidence will flourish helping you to reach your full potential. Sophie Cresswell from psychotherapy… uses and is qualified in, a combination of different therapies in the psychotherapeutic process, which will enable you to make positive changes in your life.
CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy up to £70
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) describes a number of therapies that all have a similar approach to solving problems - these can range from sleeping difficulties or relationship problems, to anxiety and depression. CBT works by changing peoples attitudes and their behaviour. The therapies focus on the thoughts, images, beliefs and attitudes that we hold (our cognitive processes) and how this relates to the way we behave, as a way of dealing with emotional problems. An important advantage of CBT is that it tends to be short, taking three to six months for most emotional problems. During this time, Sophie Cresswell at Cognitive behavioural therapy… will work with you to understand what the problems are and to develop new strategies for tackling them. CBT introduces you to a set of principles that you can apply whenever you need to, and which will stand you in good stead throughout your life. It literally gives you a theraputic toolbox that you can use whenever the need arises. Hypno-Psychotherapy and CBT are perfect partners that help you to look at how your thoughts can create feelings and mood and enable you to explore the relationship between your problems, your behaviour and your thoughts. Hypnosis helps the process of looking at past behaviours and thinking patterns and suggesting new improved patterns to replace them.
Counselling up to £70
Counselling gives you with a supportive, non judgmental and confidential environment in which to explore  emotional and psychological issues. Counselling can help you to identify your own personal resources and capabilities, which are sometimes lost or buried in times of confusion and anxiety. It may enable you to see your circumstances with more clarity so that you can make the necessary changes that will help you at this particular stage of your life.   Counselling respects your individual needs, and will enable you to make decisions that you want to make in your life. Throughout this process you will be encouraged, supported and empowered to look at yourself from a different perspective. The aim is not only to help you cope with a current issue or crisis, but to do so in a way that produces learning for the future, so you can feel more in charge of your life. Taking responsibility is an important part of this commitment.

More such treatments are needed but now I'm more optimisticLesley, UK, 24 09 23

After months of various treatments for a spinal problem caused by awkward walking following a foot operation I had a therapeutic massage from Audri and for the first time could walk upright without a stick. It's a very deep treatment but she found just the right spot to work this magic. More such treatments are needed but now I'm more optimistic.

No surgery, very affordable and reasonable, incredible staffDavid, UK, 03 02 24

Without being too specific because it is a personal/sensitive matter, I was having issues with my image, something I've been struggling with for a very, very long time well over a decade. I thought the only way forward was to go down the surgery route which would have cost thousands and there was still no guarantee it would work. Someone close convinced me to seek out a Wellbeing Clinic in my area and after my consultation, once the treatment started, like actual magic the issues that I believed would plague me forever, began to ease until they eventually disappeared completely which restored confidence and peace of mind. No surgery, very affordable and reasonable, incredible staff who were not only supportive but were very understanding to such sensitive issues. So, before anyone decides to go down the surgical options, I strongly suggest you visit a Wellbeing Clinic, they quite literally reversed something which I was led to believe was irreversible. Do go to a Wellbeing before you make any decisions you might come to regret, the best thing I ever did.
