Phoenix Counselling & Therapy Service

35 Park Drive Green, Castleknock, Dublin 15, D15CR94
I work in a one to one relationship with the client in a confidential and safe setting. I work with couples in relationship difficulties and one to one with clients suffering from Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Social Anxiety. Working to develop the clients own self-awareness and by doing so assist them in finding their own way forward through their difficulties. As a therapist I am guided by the needs and concerns of the person attending for therapy. I can offer therapy based on Psychodynamic and Humanistic Integrative approaches incorporating cognitive behaviour and body work methods. In the Psychodynamic approach I attempt to bring a clients conscious awareness to the relevant parts of the unconscious . Dream analysis and guided imagery can help in achieving awareness.Humanistic Integrative approach practices the power of listening. Self-awareness can come from a person being fully heard and accepted without judgement. There is great  peace and joy to be realised that we can live our lives mindfully in the present moment, rather than staying in the past or projecting to the future. Awareness is the key to mindfulness, but it does not come easily for most of us. It requires commitment, discipline, hard work and daily practice.  I work with clients on their awareness and mindfulness. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) focuses on how we think, the kind of thoughts we have about ourselves and how that thinking affects how w

Connecting Mindfully Counselling - Connecting Mindfully Counselling Dublin

Connecting Mindfully Counselling

56a Marian Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 24, D14HX74
When something in your life is not how you'd like it to be, or when you're looking for help and support for something that you're going through; perhaps a life event, a particular concern or maybe problems with relationships, at home, in school or at work. Maybe you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, frustration, fear, sadness or other emotions. Stress can be a part of this. Counselling can help you to better understand what might be going on for you and to find ways to effectively manage feelings, thoughts or worries. My experience is that clients come to counselling because they want something in their life to be different. I appreciate that it's often not easy to come to counselling. I welcome clients with warmth and openness and a non-judgemental listening ear. I am a Person-Centred Therapist and I use ACT, CBT and Choice Theory to help clients work through an issue or to help them shine a new light on an area of their life that is not currently how they would like it to be. Sometimes what we need is to be listened to and heard. Coming to see a therapist is a brave step towards getting support. Allowing yourself to talk about and express what you are experiencing might be what you need at this time. We often don't 'press pause' in our lives, and we often don't give ourselves the time or space to check in with ourselves. Scully Counselling and Psychotherapy - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Scully Counselling and Psychotherapy

51 Main Street, Leixlip, W23 Y5N9
Hello, I’m Eimear Scully and I’ve been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist in Leixlip village for almost 15 years. I have a depth of knowledge and experience in many areas including childhood trauma, attachment, co-dependency, adoption, relationships, difficult dynamics within family relationships, workplace issues, stress, anxiety, feelings of hopelessness, depression, existential and transpersonal issues. I'm trained to be able to help you process whatever issue is troubling you. If you’ve been feeling stuck, confused or alone these feelings are more common than you may realise. It helps to understand, process and reframe the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that have brought you here and how we can work to resolve them together. I believe that each person is completely unique and will require an individual treatment approach. While I’m trained in person-centred integrative therapy, I also have extensive experience using mindfulness based approaches to build personal awareness and the life skills you will need to effectively deal with whatever arises in your life. Get in touch and together we can discuss what it is your hoping to achieve from therapy and we can build the positive conditions for the life you truly want to live.
