I provide a strictly confidential non judgmental environment and work from an integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) perspective.Counselors work in different ways and can have training in different areas and theories so it is important to find the right counselor to suit you. Before choosing a counselor It can be helpful to have an initial phone conversation with a few counselors to get a sense of how they work, and discuss any concerns you may have. I am happy to talk to you on the phone, without any commitment on your part.
CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy €60
CBT is a scientifically validated  approach based on the idea that what we think, how we feel, how we act and what goes on in our bodies all interact together. Specifically our thoughts and how they affect our feelings and behaviour
Anger Management €60
Anger is a feeling that we all experience, an emotion which is neither good or bad, it is what you do with that anger that counts.  If you are unable to express your anger in a healthy way it can lead to problems in your life. If your anger is having a negative impact on your life it is possible to learn techniques to manage your anger and express it in a healthy way.

Connecting Mindfully (counselling & psychotherapy) - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

When something in your life is not how you'd like it to be, or when you're looking for help and support for something that you're going through; perhaps a life event, a particular concern or maybe problems with relationships, at home, in school or at work. Maybe you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, frustration, fear, sadness or other emotions.  Stress can be a part of this.  Counselling can help you to better understand what might be going on for you, and to find ways to effectively manage feelings, thoughts or worries.  My experience is that clients come to counselling because they want something in their life to be different. I appreciate that it's often not easy to come to counselling. I welcome clients with warmth and openness, and a non-judgemental listening ear. I am a Person-Centred Therapist and I use ACT, CBT and Choice Theory to help clients work through an issue or to help them shine a new light on an area of their life that is not currently how they would like it to be. Sometimes what we need is to be listened to and heard.  Coming to see a therapist is a brave step towards getting support.  Allowing yourself to talk about and express what you are experiencing might be what you need at this time.  We often don't 'press pause' in our lives, we often don't give ourselves the time or space to check in with ourselves. . The sessions were very supportive and beneficial to help me learn to be more assertiveEleanor, Ireland, 19 07 24

I found Justine through an internet search and choose her, as she also uses CBT,which I'd heard is good to address changing behaviors. I've been to counselling before and didn't feel the need to talk about the past but wanted to focus on the future. I usually prefer to meet someone in person so arranged to meet for our first session. However, after that all sessions were online. Justine was very accommodating around my work schedule and this worked very well for me. If we'd a poor connection, she was able to email me documents instead of sharing the screen. I had 12 sessions with Justine (plus an introductory session) and felt, she adapted the tools she offered each time to my particular needs at that point. As I often did a lot of talking, I sometimes felt in a session, we weren't getting anywhere (and wondered should I continue) but then noticed changes happened unexpectedly! The pace was sometimes difficult for me to accept as I like to move fast and be "productive" with my time but some things can't be rushed. I'm so glad, I stuck through. Justine also offered special rates for bulk prepaid sessions, which helped with the cost. Overall, I know, I have learnt more about myself and learnt to mind myself too. I try to consider responses to situations first, so I can change my reaction to a more healthy one using the tools Justine gave me. I was very comfortable speaking with Justine and appreciated many of her questions that got me thinking about things. Even my husband has commented on changes in me and we've improved our own relationship. I would highly recommend Justine as a therapist and will go back to her again in the future, should I ever feel the need to work further on myself. The sessions were very supportive and beneficial to help me learn to be more assertive and value myself.

Counselling  enables you to process those emotions and feelings that are holding you back from living the life you deserve. I assure each and every client that this is common and I therefore endeavour to put you at ease as much as possible. Every client's story is unique and everyone  is given the utmost freedom to express without judgment what is no longer working in their world My approach as a therapist is integrative and therefore unique to each clients needs.
