About Sprint Physiotherapy Dublin

We are one of Dublins' leading Physiotherapy clinics with over 25 years experience working in healthcare, and 20 years in elite sport. We are expert in the diagnosis and management of all joint, bone, ligament, muscle and tendon injuries and we are proud to call ourself rehabilitation specialists. Our facilities are clean, modern and private and include full fitness and performance gym, 3G AstroTurf and grass pitches.

We specialise in the treatment of all neuro-musculoskeletal conditions, pre and post-operative rehabilitation, post trauma or accident / sports injury management. We typically treat back and neck pain, work and posture related pain, post surgery rehabilitation and pregnancy related pain.

We also provide  a 'Run Smart' service for runners of all ages and ability. The services provides a full biomechanical assessment, running gait analysis, corrective measures and exercises with two follow up sessions. Run Smart uses 2D digital feedback and is aimed at returning individuals back to exercise as quickly as possible whilst reducing the risk of re-injury, and to help those who want to start running safely.

Biography:
David graduated from the University of East London in 1998, with a BSc Honors in Physiotherapy, and initially worked in the NHS, to a senior level, before going into private practice in London. In 2006 he moved to Dublin to study MSc Sports Medicine at Trinity College. David has worked within a variety of sports, and has had appointments with West Ham United Football Club, Crystal Palace Football Club, English Lacrosse, Ireland A and Ireland U16’s hockey teams, Dublin GAA (hurlers) and Lansdowne Rugby. More recently, David held the position of National Physiotherapist to the Senior Mens Irish hockey team, 2008 to 2014, and is currently an accredited service provider to the Irish Institute of Sport, providing care to Irish athletes across a number of disciplines. He currently is team Physiotherapist to Sheriff YC F.C and service provider to the Football Association of Ireland (FAI),Parnells GAA and D.I.T GAA. David’s main areas of interest are lower limb injury management, neuro-muscular dysfunction, functional screening and rehabilitation. He has extensive experience in treating neuro-musculoskeletal disorders, including shoulder, neck and low back problems, and was instrumental in setting up low back pain protocols for a large NHS primary care trust in South West London. David has been teaching anatomy, and functional anatomy, on the undergraduate Physiotherapy programme at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland since 2008, and is a guest lecturer on the Physiotherapy in Sports module at RCSI in the areas of lower limb bio-mechanics and running bio-mechanics.

Biography:
Laura graduated from UCD in 2008, with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. She initially worked in the HSE, before joining the Physiotherapy Department of The Sports Surgery Clinic in Santry, where she has worked for 7 years. She specialised in the treatment of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal injuries, and now provides input to Professor Cathal Moran`s outpatient orthopaedic clinics. Having a keen interest in sports herself, Laura has worked as Head Physiotherapist at inter-county level GAA, with Monaghan, Louth, and most recently with Dublin Senior Camogie. Laura also has extensive experience in sports rehabilitation gained whilst working with various clubs, including Parnells GAA and Oliver Plunketts GAA, among others. Most recently, Laura has been involved, as Programme Manager, in the setup of a Sports Medicine Clinic in Trinity College Dublin, where she has implemented a Medical Care Pathway for the student athletes of the college.
