What to expect: your first session

• A discussion of your health and current condition (how & when it started, your goals of treatment?, etc.)
• It helps to have any relevant information, including any GP or Consultant referrals, x-ray or scan results, medications etc. at hand
• A physical assessment of things such as gait, flexibility, strength, balance, mobility and transfers
• Your physiotherapist would also discuss and explain their findings & decide on a treatment plan with you
• They might give you exercises to do on your own or with help from family/caregivers?
• If it is required, they can set up a follow on appointment with you

Aside...

• If you have a lower limb or low back injury please wear shorts or similar for your own comfort
• Ladies, if you are have an upper limb or neck injury please wear a string vest or similar for your own comfort
