Carpal Tunnel Syndrome happens when the median nerve gets impinged between the carpal bones and the transverse carpal ligament. One of the signs is numbness or tingling in the fingers, excluding the little finger and the outer half of the ring finger... these areas are services by the ulnar nerve which does not go through the carpal tunnel. Commonly impingement can happen because of swelling in the finger flexor tendons.
