I had my gastric sleeve operation last December 2022. The whole thing went incredibly well. Sevim was very supportive and amazing throughout the 4 days I was at the hospital also communicating with me before and after. Her priority is to see the patient doing well. And she praises your improvements and achievements throughout the whole journey. She reassures the patient that everything will be ok. Her encouraging words are so soothing and helpful. That put my mind at rest. Dr Cenk is an outstanding surgeon and the nursing team provides you with excellent care and perfect service at all times. Since the operation, I'm still loosing weight however I’m feeling healthier, stronger and happier already. I already lost 15kgs in all. I honestly believe Dr Cenk and his team at the hospital did a superb job! The hospital is incredibly clean, you are made to feel comfortable throughout the whole stay and every member of staff goes above and beyond for you. All were handled very efficiently. I met with Dr Jacek Laskowski, who ordered an immediate X-ray, after which hip replacement surgery was determined necessary. We then discussed the proper prosthesis and scheduled the surgery and all of the accompanying tests. The only problem was that on the paperwork my birth year was entered incorrectly. We caught the problem later, after returning home and promptly notified the Center.
10 years ago I was extremely pleased with my R hip replacement performed by Mr James Lewis. On 6th January he performed a L hip replacement and this time I am amazed. Walking afternoon of the operation, discharged next day, no pain. Now two weeks later walking without sticks around the house and half mile twice a day using one stick for uneven ground just in case. I have benefited from the innovations Mr Lewis has made to improve the operation and outcome. Also the advice on pre op preparation and the calm way in which he and the anaesthetist went through the procedure with me, made me feel totally relaxed and confident. A huge thank you to you both. Thank you also to the staff and physios on Ilex Ward for always being so caring and cheerful.
