The report was sent back to Dr Us, who told me that I have a grade 4 venous insufficiency in both legs. FYI Grade 5 is DVT, so it was a serious potential problem. He was able to do the surgery, but it would require at least a week to get a bed in the hospital. This is quite a serious operation, taking 4-5 hours and an overnight stay in the hospital. The cost for this would be around £7,500. I am going back to the UK to see if I can get medical insurance or the NHS to deal with. Dr Us provided me with a report for this purpose. If not I will come back out to Dr Us, who I rated very highly. He is one of the leaders in his field, globally. The service I received was second to none and Dr Us gave me a prescription for medication to slow the progression and an injector to administer before I fly for more than 2 hours.
