Pancreatic Cancer Surgery Gallbladder Diseases and Cancer Stomach Cancer Surgery Liver Cancer Surgery Colon Cancer Surgery Rectal Cancer Surgery Small Bowel Diseases and Cancer Cytoreductive Surgery HIPEC Dr Peker studied at the University of Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa Faculty of Medicine). After graduating from the faculty, he received the General Surgery Specialization training at the same institution. Dr Paker was assigned to Bayburt for compulsory service. After a short service, he won the Gastroenterology Surgery Minor Specialization training at Kartal Koşuyolu Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital. During the assistantship process, he gained the qualification of the Turkish Surgery Association and was awarded the Nevin Baykent Health and Education Foundation Scholarship. In this way, Dr Peker went to Mayo Clinic College of Medicine Rochester, Minnesota, USA and conducted studies and observations in both liver, biliary tract and pancreatic surgery (3 months) and Obesity Surgery Center (6 months). When he returned to his country, Dr Peker successfully completed the minor specialization exam and went to Bakırköy Dr Dr Peker was appointed to the General Surgery Clinic of Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital as a Gastroenterology Surgery Specialist. The doctor has performed many pancreatic, obesity and stomach cancer surgeries in this clinic, and over time he became the responsible specialist in liver, biliary tract and pancreatic surgery.
Dr Peker was accepted as a training unit by the Turkish HPB association. In this process, he also performed many endoscopic procedures due to his expertise. Due to his interest in pancreatic cancer, diabetes and obesity, Dr Peker has done the job for 3 years to examine cells, dealing with cells therapy and transplant cells, as well as doing his doctorate in Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Biology and qualified in the exam entered. After receiving his associate professorship at the same institution, Dr Peker was appointed as Gastroenterology Surgery Clinical Program Director (Clinical Chief) upon an invitation to establish the Gastroenterology Surgery Minor Clinic of Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital. Dr Peker had the honor of doing the first pancreatic cancer surgery, the first emergency case, the first bariatric surgery of the hospital. Operations are still continuing in a regular clinic and an average of 70 elective cases per month have been reached. In this process, he was accepted to the Board of Specialization in Medicine (TUKMOS), Gastroenterology Surgery Commission Member. Dr Peker was born in Sivas in 1980, he is married and has a child.
