I was diagnosed with diabetes for more than 8 years. I suffered from a lot of symptoms related to Diabetes such as feeling thirsty, getting tired quickly. I heard that there is a surgery option in Turkey to get rid of diabetes. I made my research and decided to come to Turkey and have my surgery done on the 8th of August. After the surgery, everything turned out really good, I now do not use any medicine for diabetes. It is all under control. It was a very simple surgery and all the team were really helpful. The main target of this process is to increase the secretion of a hormone called GLP-1 from the small intestine. GLP-1 is a hormone that increases the effect of the sugar balancing hormone and stimulates its production in the pancreas. Also, the hormone storage part ( Ghrelin) is removed from the edge of the stomach in order to create other hormone changes to strengthen the effect of diabetes surgery. This surgery is adviced to patients whose BMI is equal to or more than 30.Whereas it can be also performed to patients whose BMI is equal between 25-30 under certain conditions.

I would (and have) recommend Dr Türker Karabuga and the gastric sleeve to anyone who has long term weight issues. I have lost over 40kgs and feel fabulous. The procedure was uneventful and I have been able to quickly start exercising and enjoying my energy levels. I have been able to go on an aeroplane without asking for a longer belt, buy clothes off the rack and am generally more confident and feel healthy and well. This has been a great experience for me.
