Dr Türker Karabuğa graduated from Süleyman Demirel Faculty of Medicine in 2000. In 2004, he started his speciality training at the 3rd General Surgery Clinic of Izmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital, where he completed the thesis entitled, The Effect of a Simple and Economical Laparoscopic Training Box Model on the Learning Curve of Surgical Assistants.
After completing his compulsory government service in Konya Bozkır State Hospital from 2011 to 2012, Dr Karabuğa worked as an assistant professor in at Medical Park Hospital and İzmir University Faculty of Medicine in the General Surgery Department. Between June 2014 and April 2016, he practised at Izmir Private Karataş Hospital. In 2019, Dr Karabuğa left Kordon Obesity Center and started working at Ekol Hospital.
