He graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1995. Between 1995 and 1999, he worked as an assistant doctor at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital. In his next career step, he joined Istanbul Training and Research Hospital as a General Surgery Specialist and worked from 2000 to 2009. He specialized in Endocrine Surgery (Goiter, Surreal, Parathyroid Surgery), Laparoscopic Surgery (Laparoscopic Obesity, Colon Surgery, Stomach Surgery, Hernia Surgery, Appendectomy, Hiatus Hernia, cholecystectomy), Gastrointestinal Surgery (Stomach Cancer and Ulcers, Colon Cancers, Bile duct Surgery) and Endoscopy.

Dr Derici did my gastric sleeve just over a year ago.

From the airport to leaving everything was organised smoothly.
Had a good chat with the Dr and he's such a lovely worldly man who knows what he's doing. Yes, I was scared but I need not have been he's changed my life.
