I'm immensely grateful to her and can't recommend her enoughDiana, UK, 07 09 23

Denise is the best therapist I've ever met and I have had many and none of them was able to help me as Denise did. Her healing energy, vast expertise in psychology and compassion create a safe space where I confronted childhood traumas and the loss of my brother. She empowered me to explore my emotions and past with newfound resilience, guiding me towards self-discovery and healing. Denise is not only a skilled therapist but also a genuinely lovely person, offering unwavering support and guidance. I'm immensely grateful to her and can't recommend her enough. Thank you!

Couples Therapy
Couples counselling (which can also be referred to as marriage guidance) is a form of therapy that looks to improve communication and resolve issues within an intimate relationship. In contrast to counselling for relationship issues, which can be undertaken solely through individual sessions, couples counselling is a term applied to talk therapy for two people within a relationship. With this in mind, counsellors who offer this form of therapy should have the relevant training to help them work with the dynamics of a couple. While couples counselling is ideally suited to couples attending the sessions together, if your partner is reluctant you can look to speak to a couples counsellor on your own to begin with. You may find your partner wants to join you after you have had some initial sessions alone - or you may find it helpful to intersperse couple sessions with individual sessions. In regards to the techniques used, some of the work you do will take place within your counselling sessions themselves - however many couples counsellors will also ask you to carry out 'homework'. Typically your counsellor will ask you either to do a task or discuss something specific when you get home. During your next session you will get the chance to talk about your homework, discuss any challenges you came up against and how the experience made you both feel.

Sex Therapy London - Richard Cruz MBACP (Accred), COSRT (Accred)

Sex Therapy London

London, W1
Sex Therapy London is now offering online appointments ONLY via Facetime, VSee and Zoom. Sex Therapy London is a comprehensive counselling, psychotherapy and psychosexual service for adults facing sexual and relationship concerns either as individuals or as part of a couple relationship. I see men and women of all nationalities and sexualities offering a space to talk freely about what are often very personal details about their intimate lives relating to sex and sexuality. Fundamentally I am a trained counsellor/psychotherapist and work with the whole gamut of the human psychological condition. I specialise in sex and relationships and more often than not psychosexual work is underpinned by attending to stress, anxiety, fear, depression and so on.
Couples Therapy up to £80
Couples sessions last an hour. I see many couples struggling to make sense of their relationship and their sex life. This generally a relationship issue. Sometimes the sex life is being impacted by a specific sexual concern such as low libido, vaginismus or erectile problems; these are just a few of the most common concerns but there are many more. I help couples gain knowledge of the problem and most importantly get them to start talking about it for usually by the time the couple has decided to enter therapy, tensions are high and they are on the brink of thinking about giving up.
Psychotherapist Consultation up to £70
I hold initial consultations where, if you feel comfortable with me and what I have to offer including how I may be able to help you, we would agree to work together for a series of session, usually six to begin with. We would then review the work so far and, as often is the case, clients feel sufficiently supported enough to engage in further sessions. I always review with you to be sure that you are getting what you need and we end by mutual agreement or continue, its your choice. Therapy can be short and focused or long term, depending on the concerns. Psychosexual therapy is usually addressing an immediate problem that has recently occurred or began a long time previously. The initial focus is on the manifestation on the problem itself and with time, usually by helping you to look at your life history, connections can be made which are very useful in seeing perhaps how the concern began to take hold and cause the distress that it is causing today.

Dr. Sherylin Thompson - Psychotherapy Clinic in the UK

Dr. Sherylin Thompson

Unit 68 Cannon Workshops, Cannon Drive, Canary Wharf, E14 4AS
I work generally with individuals facing common human struggles and couples wanting to resolve their difficulties. My clients come from a range of different backgrounds and are also diverse in culture, ethnicity and sexuality. We all go through rocky periods in our lives and therapy can help you smooth a way forward. Some examples of how therapy can help you move through difficulties include:• Understanding what might be causing problems and repetitive patterns.• Clarifying what direction you want to take in your life.• Exploring problems with intimate relationships or family members.• Overcoming trauma - be it from childhood or more recently.• Coping with loss and bereavement.• Managing workplace issues such as stress, bullying and career decisions. In particular, I have worked extensively with bereavement, domestic violence and adult survivors of childhood abuse. In addition, examples of my experience include stress, identity issues, panic disorders, eating disorders and self-harm, anxiety and depression. Some clients want to concentrate on current problems they are struggling to resolve on their own; and others have realised that the same old problems repeat and cycle in very familiar and destructive patterns. Some clients therefore want therapy for just a few sessions to help them through a difficult time; while others want to work longer term to tackle more deep-seated and long-standing difficulties. The practice is a five-minute walk from Cabot Square, eight minutes f
