Kinship - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Kinship

13 Pembroke Street Lower,, Dublin 2
Kinship provides a safe, confidential space where difficulties can be explored in the presence of another—one who offers support and space as you work to become more of your authentic self.Areas of focus include: Depression, anxiety, stress, workplace performance, relationship challenges, transitions, chronic illness, trauma, sexuality, sexual abuse, finding meaning, and more. Some people may begin psychotherapy without a specific problem or issue, but instead with the intention of personal development and achieving their potential. At times we may feel confused, lost, overwhelmed, or dissatisfied for a time before we decide to seek help. It takes courage to ask for support. We encourage the development of effective problem-solving skills to help individuals reach their true potential and begin the process of self-awareness, acceptance, and change. We believe that no two people are exactly alike, which means treatments are tailored to the individual through a Humanistic Integrative Approach. Our therapists use evidence-based methods and are trained to a Master's level. We attend regular supervision in order maintain the highest standard of care.

WEDNESDAY AVAILABILITY With expertise in the various fields of mental health and well-being, John is available for psychotherapy and counseling.  If you're experiencing such difficulties as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, severe addiction, obsessions, anger management, paranoia, psychosis, identity crises, sexual dysfunction, loss & grief; then John will be able to work with you.   As a member of the Association for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Ireland, John practices a unique form of psychoanalysis during these sessions. The sessions uphold privacy and confidentiality which are paramount to the treatment. How does psychotherapy work? All that is required is to speak as openly as possible about any thoughts, feelings, ideas and even dreams that come to your mind. How long does it last? It is a big step for anyone who decides to go to see a therapist. There is no quick fix to therapy. It is up to you to determine how long you would like to complete the work. How often should I go? In order to benefit from the therapy, once a week is preferable. Otherwise it is up to you to decide. Therapy can be costly in general. How much is it going to cost me? I offer reasonable rates of €60 What day do you work? Tuesdays Only

Welcome to my page Contemplating psychotherapy can be daunting, especially as there is so much information out there nowadays, not to mention all the different types of therapy to choose from. Finding someone you feel at ease with and who you feel is competent for your needs is important. Psychotherapy is not a sign of weakness or inadequacy; it’s embraced by all works of life for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes a short burst is all that’s required, at other times on-going support is useful.  Life events and experiences mean that we can fall on challenging times, sometimes we need a third party to help navigate the way.  About Me  Affiliated with the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP). I am educated to master’s level in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy. I hold a distinction Dip in Counselling & Psychotherapy as well as further certificates in general counselling, bereavement grief and loss, child and adolescent counselling as well as play therapy.  Pluralism is a therapeutic modality which appreciates the many different therapeutic options available and aims to offer you what you want, when you want it. My practice is informed by research as well. I am a researcher myself and am always looking to develop my skills and knowledge. I hold additional certificates/diplomas in; integrative psychotherapy, bereavement grief and loss, child play therapy and adolescent training. My research speciality is the integration of spiritual exp

My mindset now is starting to changeSharon, Ireland, 13 07 19

It’s so hard accepting that you need help and making the first step. I can safely say, it was easily the best decision I’ve made in a very long time. John has literally pulled me back from the edge and is making me look forward to living again and the future. My mindset now is starting to change. Instead of ‘this is my life for good’ I think ‘this is my life for now’. I’m learning that things will change and it’s not just a saying. Do the work as best you can. It really is one baby step at a time and John is with you through it all. He has saved my life. His thirst for life rubs off very quickly. I am so happy I chose Building Bridges. Thank you for my mending heart!
