Could not recommend enough to anyone dealing with anything similarPadraig, Ireland, 21 06 23

I had been suffering from anxiety and anger issues due to years of swallowing emotions. Martina provided a safe and trusting space that helped me work through this. I felt at ease with her from day one and she was very patient with helping me open up and deal with my issues. It was a lot of work but I am in a much better place now thanks to Martina and the work that we put in. Could not recommend enough to anyone dealing with anything similar or feeling like everything is piling on top of them.

I could see the improvement in my own behaviour after a few sessionsAlbert, Ireland, 24 04 19

Aidan Lakes provided an excellent service from start to end. I was referred to Aidan through my work EAP program. I felt really nervous at the beginning since I was visiting a different provider for a long time before I met him. My life was a complete mess. The issues I had were: Separation, Court Hearing, Child Custody plus a second break up on the top of all. I arrived at Aidan clinic a few days after "The worst day of my life", Aidan was very easy to chat to and supported me until I was able to stand on my feet again. I could see the improvement in my own behaviour after a few sessions. I would recomend his services.

Area Mentis Psychotherapy - Logo

Area Mentis Psychotherapy

1A Swanville Place, Rathmines, Dublin, d6
The Area Mentis Centre provides psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and psychological services for any individual experiencing mental pain. Our practitioners have dedicated their lives to the study of how people think, act and communicate.Talking is the cornerstone of the treatment the purpose of which is to learn about oneself. Through this process, practitioners help people to identify the source of their problems and address them. Each individual's treatment is characterised by an intensely personalised approach, greatly increasing the probability of change This treatment effects change through regular weekly sessions, in which the relationship between practitioner and client supports a therapeutic discourse. During treatment, the client develops insight and self-awareness, integrating those past events that may have been traumatic or unsayable into a coherent narrative. Supported by the relationship to the therapist/analyst, the individual can scrutinize the stress and suffering in their lives within the context of their life-history: where it originates, how it is manifested and what coping behaviours have evolved to deal with it.

Overall every session with her was good for meJohn, Ireland, 29 09 24

Diamante my therapist was very pleasant, but at the same time asked me difficult questions. She probed deep into my past, and got me to express feelings that I hadn’t done with anyone before. Overall every session with her was good for me The only drawback for me is that I live over 100 miles from the clinic and I can only get an appointment on Saturday. A midweek appointment would be much easier for me.

13 Pembroke Street Lower,, Dublin 2
Kinship provides a safe, confidential space where difficulties can be explored in the presence of another—one who offers support and space as you work to become more of your authentic self.Areas of focus include: Depression, anxiety, stress, workplace performance, relationship challenges, transitions, chronic illness, trauma, sexuality, sexual abuse, finding meaning, and more. Some people may begin psychotherapy without a specific problem or issue, but instead with the intention of personal development and achieving their potential. At times we may feel confused, lost, overwhelmed, or dissatisfied for a time before we decide to seek help. We believe that no two people are exactly alike, which means treatments are tailored to the individual through a Humanistic Integrative Approach. Our therapists use evidence-based methods and are trained to a Master's level. We attend regular supervision in order maintain the highest standard of care.
