Kinship - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland

Kinship

13 Pembroke Street Lower,, Dublin 2
Kinship provides a safe, confidential space where difficulties can be explored in the presence of another—one who offers support and space as you work to become more of your authentic self.Areas of focus include: Depression, anxiety, stress, workplace performance, relationship challenges, transitions, chronic illness, trauma, sexuality, sexual abuse, finding meaning, and more. Some people may begin psychotherapy without a specific problem or issue, but instead with the intention of personal development and achieving their potential. At times we may feel confused, lost, overwhelmed, or dissatisfied for a time before we decide to seek help. It takes courage to ask for support. We encourage the development of effective problem-solving skills to help individuals reach their true potential and begin the process of self-awareness, acceptance, and change. We believe that no two people are exactly alike, which means treatments are tailored to the individual through a Humanistic Integrative Approach. Our therapists use evidence-based methods and are trained to a Master's level. We attend regular supervision in order maintain the highest standard of care.

I have found the therapist very kind, helpful & genuinely interested in my journey, my storyMargaret, Ireland, 11 02 21

I lost my brother to Covid 19 in the UK, last May. It was horrible that I couldn't travel to Britain to visit him in the 3 weeks he was ill. I missed being with my nieces & nephew during this traumatic time & especially when he died. I closed the house I lived in early last December. It was another stressful time. I felt my brother very near at that time. It was all part of a continuum of letting go. It was all about grieving. I was advised by a couple of friends to get grief counselling, so I made inquiries & got Rachel's phone number. I had my first zoom session with Rachel on Dec 22nd. I have had 4 more sessions since then. It was a little difficult zooming, I'd much prefer to have face to face live sessions but the Covid restrictions prevented that. I have found Rachel, very kind, helpful & genuinely interested in my journey, my story. She has also sent many helpful short videos which have been very helpful. I feel so much better since I began having sessions with Rachel.

Connecting Mindfully Counselling - Connecting Mindfully Counselling Dublin

Connecting Mindfully Counselling

56a Marian Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 24, D14HX74
When something in your life is not how you'd like it to be, or when you're looking for help and support for something that you're going through; perhaps a life event, a particular concern or maybe problems with relationships, at home, in school or at work. Maybe you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, frustration, fear, sadness or other emotions. Stress can be a part of this. Counselling can help you to better understand what might be going on for you and to find ways to effectively manage feelings, thoughts or worries. My experience is that clients come to counselling because they want something in their life to be different. I appreciate that it's often not easy to come to counselling. I welcome clients with warmth and openness and a non-judgemental listening ear. I am a Person-Centred Therapist and I use ACT, CBT and Choice Theory to help clients work through an issue or to help them shine a new light on an area of their life that is not currently how they would like it to be. Sometimes what we need is to be listened to and heard. Coming to see a therapist is a brave step towards getting support. Allowing yourself to talk about and express what you are experiencing might be what you need at this time. We often don't 'press pause' in our lives, and we often don't give ourselves the time or space to check in with ourselves. WEDNESDAY AVAILABILITY With expertise in the various fields of mental health and well-being, John is available for psychotherapy and counseling.  If you're experiencing such difficulties as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, severe addiction, obsessions, anger management, paranoia, psychosis, identity crises, sexual dysfunction, loss & grief; then John will be able to work with you.   As a member of the Association for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in Ireland, John practices a unique form of psychoanalysis during these sessions. The sessions uphold privacy and confidentiality which are paramount to the treatment. How does psychotherapy work? All that is required is to speak as openly as possible about any thoughts, feelings, ideas and even dreams that come to your mind. How long does it last? It is a big step for anyone who decides to go to see a therapist. There is no quick fix to therapy. It is up to you to determine how long you would like to complete the work. How often should I go? In order to benefit from the therapy, once a week is preferable. Otherwise it is up to you to decide. Therapy can be costly in general. How much is it going to cost me? I offer reasonable rates of €60 What day do you work? Tuesdays Only
