Dr Bazeos was excellent from pre-surgery to post-surgery. Extremely professional, great bedside manner, caring and thorough. We could not have asked for a better surgeon. I was looking for an appointment in Greece even though I live abroad. Dr. Andreas has helped me tremendously and responded to me in a timely manner. I appreciate his behaviour and I recommend his clinic for all foreign patients.

At the beginning of my IVF journey, I messaged several different clinics/doctors, as it's always good to have some comparison. From the responses I got, and after the initial message exchanges, it quickly became clear Dr. Bazeos would be my best choice - he always replied promptly to all questions I had, in a logical organised manner. There was no pressure to decide 'here and now'; I could ask questions and Dr. Bazeos always answered, even though he had no guarantee I'd choose to do the treatment with him! He also speaks excellent English, which was important to me.

I had the treatment (IVF) in the IASO hospital in Athens. I was surprised how big and busy the hospital is. Sometimes there were small delays probably because of the number of patients, but it didn't really matter because I was on holidays anyway. In a way I was reassured I made a good choice - so many other people were having treatment at IASO as well!

I had 4 appointments during the 2-week period of taking hormonal injections. Dr. Bazeos always answered all questions, even though sometimes he was super busy, and was always happy to help if I needed anything (e.g. finding medication). Then, there were the most important parts - egg retrieval, fertilisation and embryo transfer. After each stage, with every little success, I was more and more optimistic the IVF would end in a pregnancy. I was extremely happy each time I learned something went well, and so was Dr. Bazeos – I am sure he has done thousands of IVF cycles before, but he seemed genuinely happy for me & always wished me good luck.

And now the best part – I am pregnant!!! 😊 It is, of course, still early, and I realise things can go wrong, but still… This was my first IVF cycle and I’m so happy I chose Dr. Bazeos. He is a very knowledgeable specialist & I fully trust his decisions. I’d definitely make the same choice if I had to do it again.

Naturally, I was very concerned about having surgery abroad but the moment I had a consultation with Dr Bazeos my fears were allayed, I knew I had found my doctor. Out of due diligence, I had consultations with other doctors to ensure I wasn’t jumping the gun. That further cemented my decision and I knew I had made the right choice.

Dr Andreas is an amazing doctor we can’t thank him enough. He is so thorough, informative in his emails and answers each question in detail. I got a tubal ligation for sterilisation purposes performed by Dr Bazeos at IASO maternity hospital. The service was excellent. The doctor made sure I was informed of what would happen and very important for me he respected my decision. It was worth every cent.

The surgery was performed at IASO maternity hospital. It's a very big hospital but everyone was really nice, particularly taking into account that I speak no greek so they made sure to come find me. The test were super fast and I stayed overnight on a three people room. Everything was very well organised.

I contacted Dr Bazeos regarding Laparoscopic Myomectomy to remove the uterine fibroid. He was very thorough in his email responses and always provide as much detail as possible. Even more impressive, was the speed at which such responses were made. After reviewing my records we scheduled a telephone consultation, where Dr Bazeos went over the finer details. He helped to reduce some of the initial anxieties that were eating at me since this would be my first surgery.

I flew to Athens from the UK to have surgery at IASO Maternity Hospital in early July without any fear or hesitation, as I was confident the surgery would be a success. To my surprise, Dr Bazeos had surpassed any expectations I had. I am 9 days post-op and my recovery has been nothing short of a miracle to date.

I could not have asked for more. I will be forever grateful to Dr Bazeos for the compassion and care he provided along with possessing a skilled pair of hands which is essential for such complex surgery.

I had a great experience and can find no complaints whatsoever. Everyone I encountered from the initial to the final stages was very helpful and accommodating. The Nurses, Doctors and even the other patients made the atmosphere very relaxing and calming.

I removed my uterine fibroids (several of them and quite large, the operation was almost 3 hrs) with Dr. Bazeos at the Hygeia Hospital in Tirana, Albania where he comes several days a month.

Dr. Bazeos is truly the best gynecologist I have seen. Experienced in his specialties, a good listener to patients needs and very caring. I saw several doctors before I decided to operate with Dr.Bazeos (a few in the US and Spain). While their first advice was to move the uterus also considering I was on my 40-s, Dr.Bazeos gave the several options first and let me choose. I did not remove the uterus and that was my goal, to begin with. Everything went really well and I recovered in less than a week. I highly recommend Dr.Bazeas.

My husband and I had 3 failed ICSI attempts, so we decided to try doing the next ICSI while on holiday and maybe being more relaxed we could finally conceive and if not, at least we would have had a beautiful holiday in Greece.

We start to send Email enquires to four different Doctors recommended from Forum-Friends and Dr. Bazeos was the only one who answered asking our medical history and was very compassionate hearing the history of our stillborn baby boy. We liked that very much and therefore, after the second Email we exchanged, we choose him for our Greek treatment and we have not regretted it for one minute. He answered always promptly to all our many Emails and was always professional, kind and accommodating, even when he has to change some of his plans because my period came earlier than expected.

With regard to the treatment, from all the ICSIs I have done, this was the only one where the egg retrieval didn’t cause me any pain and mouth ulcer. I was so surprised and beyond impressed! We were even more impressed with the Embryos outcome, the better we ever had! Furthermore, all the Embryos in culture survived until the Blastocysts stage and now I am happily pregnant thanks to Dr. Bazeos, the Embryologists and the beautiful country of Greece.

I highly recommend Dr. Bazeos to everyone who is looking for a treatment abroad in Greece and I would have recommended him even if the treatment wouldn’t have been satisfactory because he is such a great Doctor!

His private office is very easy to find, clean and well equipped. His nurse and secretary is very kind and well trained. All the blood test went without problems, even if I have thin veins and she was all the time very accommodating and considerate. The egg retrieval and the Embryo Transfer procedure were performed in another facility. This facility was easy to find, very clean, well equipped, the nurses were nice, unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the Facility Secretary, she wasn’t nor kind or accommodating and thank, God we had very little to do with her. The best thing of the facility were the Embryologists, two wonderful women beyond kind, wonderful people! The picture they gave me is the first of our baby album, we are so grateful!

We had ICSI IVF, with a day 3 transfer of one embryo. My husband is 50, I just turned 40 and I suppose I'm considered to have a low reserve and low response. Not going to pretend it's easy to plan this but we chose to do our IVF in Europe so we wouldn't have to go into debt in the USA for a treatment with the vast amounts of unknowns. We did our second IVF attempt in Greece, with Dr. Bazeos. (Our first was in Prague and came with a lot of stresses and didn't work.)

IVF is a tough process that begins at least one cycle before the actual treatment cycle. There are the expenses and the hormones pumping through our bodies and the difficulties of timing everything while not having information to base plans on. It's just hard, with so much to fear and to hope for. Dr. Bazeos and Chryssa made this process the absolute best and smoothest that it could be. They made it almost a pleasure. They did it seamlessly so it would appear that they weren't juggling a bunch of other patients with equally pressing needs. We have finally gotten our BFP (big, fat positive), thanks to Dr. Bazeos team and their lab.

A wonderful doctor and clinic! We're so thrilled Dr. Bazeos was our IVF doctor and grateful he got us pregnant! Dr. Bazeos is so gracious and thoughtful, maintaining flawless professionalism.

I honestly could not over-state how grateful we were to him and Chryssa during the entire process, for his infinite patience and guidance. (And I'm the tedious type that asks a million questions, maybe twice, because IVF is science and if I can't picture it, I'm confused by it.)

We wanted a doctor who wasn't working for a huge IVF clinic with a marketing department, but rather had a small, personal practice and a great lab. Dr. Bazeos was a perfect fit and works with two labs; he gave us our choice of which to use. (We also LOVED the lab!)

Dr. Bazeos seems to have a sensitivity to his patients' needs and the advice he gave helped me remember to destress each day. He was very methodical, very personable and always willing to answer our questions. Actually, he also guessed questions we might have before we asked. He is available - we never felt we had to wait long to get important responses and he and Chryssa could not have been more welcoming and friendly when I, (and my mother in law!), came to their practice. We deeply appreciated everything about the entire experience with Dr. Bazeos. The only problem is that we couldn't bring him home with us now that we are pregnant! Thank you so much, Doctor Bazeos!

Laparoscopy surgery for endometriosis.

Two weeks ago I had a laparoscopy surgery for the removal of three Endometrioses Cyst. My recovery after the surgery was very fast and everything went exactly as the doctor explained to me before the surgery. Dr. Bazeos was amazing throughout my entire process. Every question I had was warmly answered.

I had consultation with other doctors in my country for my problem but I found Dr. Bazeos extremely helpful, patient, supportive and very knowledgeable and I am impressed with the quality of treatment and service provided to me.

Going into surgery can be a very traumatic and stressful experience for some but Dr. Bazeos was excellent. He is very clear in his thought process and line of treatment and kept me informed of each possible situation that could come up. He suggested laparoscopic surgery which would mean least stitches on abdomen and getting back to normal routine as early as possible which was important to me.

Despite his busy schedule, he was always answering to my queries at any point of time which many doctor do not even bother to do.

He is a highly experienced gynecologist and surgeon and would recommend him highly.
