Croydon Orthodontic Practice was established in 1972 to provide a complete range of orthodontic services for Croydon and the surrounding area. It is the longest established Specialist Practice in the U.K.
Both NHS and Private treatments are available and our Specialists treat both adults and children.
The practice is conveniently situated yards from South Croydon train station providing excellent links to London and the South East of England. There is parking on Blunt Road and the local streets as well as the station car park and the route is well served by local buses.
Dr Tim McDonogh is the Principal Orthodontist of practices in Purley, Redhill and Croydon. He graduated from Guys Hospital in 1992 and undertook Hospital Positions in Head and Neck Surgery in the UK and Australia for 5 years. He gained a Fellowship in Dental Surgery before commencing a post-graduate Orthodontic qualification at the University of Manchester. He obtained a certificate in specialist orthodontic training and the membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2000.
He is registered as a Specialist Orthodontist with the General Dental Council. He is a member of the Specialist Practitioner Group of the British Orthodontic Society, and a fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists. He is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society, the British Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.
John Sawyer trained in dentistry at Kings London, Diploma of Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital London. Master of Dental Science in Melbourne Australia. Fellow of the Royal College of Australian Dental Surgeons. Lecturer in Orthodontics at Guys Hospital.
Maria qualified as a dentist in 2002. She then continued her postgraduate studies for another 2 years resulting in an MSc in Oral Biology.
After 3 years of full time orthodontic training Maria obtained the Membership in Orthodontics qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons and she now works as a Specialist Orthodontist.
She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Bushra qualified as a specialist in orthodontics from Guys, Kings and St Thomas’s dental institute in 2006 . Prior to this she has worked in a range of dental specialities including oral and maxillofacial surgery and paediatric dentistry gaining her Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. As well as having a Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons Bushra also has a Masters degree in Orthodontics.
Her main areas of interest are invisible cosmetic braces including a range of lingual braces , Clearstep braces as well as the Damon System appliances.
Adil completed his undergraduate dental training in 1994, and after a brief period in dental practice, he undertook a further 3-year full-time postgraduate training programme in Orthodontics at Guys Hospital, London and completed his MSc from London University in 2001.
He also attained a Membership in Orthodontics from both the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of England and of Edinburgh in 2001. Furthermore, he completed a Fellowship in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2003.
He is fully registered with the General Dental Council and is on the specialist list for Orthodontics.
Adil enjoys working with both children and adults. He is particularly interested in the aesthetic aspects of the smile in relation to facial harmony.
Having studied Dentistry at the University of Manchester, Nidhi graduated in 2001 and subsequently completed her vocational training. After some time as a general dentist she then moved on to train in maxillofacial surgery at Guys Kings and St Thomas hospitals in London after which she went on to demonstrate oral surgery to undergraduates. She gained her Membership in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England during this time.
Her general professional training was completed as a paediatric dentist at Great Ormond Street Hospital, following which she gained the opportunity to undertake specialist training in the field of Orthodontics at Kings College Hospital, and Nidhi joined the specialist register after completing her training in 2009 during which she also completed her MSc research, the finding of which have since been published.
Nidhi joined Redhill Orthodontic Practice in 2009 and undertakes a variety of patients of all ages, offering both conventional braces as well as a number of aesthetic options.
