We learned of Prisma Dental through International Living during one of their conferences in Costa Rica. They gave a presentation and I spoke with one of their representatives at their table during the conference. My husband and I both needed dental work. His was going to be extremely expensive in the US, so we took the leap and made an appointment online with Luis at Prisma Dental and traveled back to Costa Rica. My husband was extremely apprehensive and wanted complete sedation, but Dr Nadine Rubinstein was so gentle that she was able to remove 13 tooth roots with just numbing. He had no pain during the procedure or that evening. By the next day they had his very natural looking dentures ready! He will be back in 6 months for implants. I needed bonding on my lower front teeth and a cracked back molar fixed. I, too, was apprehensive, but with a mild sedative, Dr. Carolina Nunez built up the back molar and bonded nine lower teeth - all painlessly. The next day, she permanently cemented the new back molar. One can't even tell I had any work done - each bonding is seamless. From arranging for the appointment with Luis to being incredibly kind when we walked in the front door - topped off with the terrific work they did, it was a great experience - and the cost was a fraction of what we would have paid in the US.

The surgeon made sure I felt at home and showed concern for my health, my comfort, and my satisfaction during every stage of the procedure. I felt respected and in the best hands one could find. As soon as I stumbled upon a review of their services I was certain it was what I needed. Every need and great care was given to me and my particular circumstances. Not speaking Spanish I would have been completely lost here without them. I was met at the airport past midnight, and driven to my accommodations which were modern, clean, very reasonably priced, and beautifully appointed. It felt like a home away from home. They took the time to bring all of my luggage up to the unit and spent some time reassuring me that they were there for me every step of the way and that I was not alone. In the 10 days that I spent here, I was never disappointed. I was brought to all of my clinic appointments, to the grocery store, the pharmacy, and anywhere I wanted or needed to go. I had a personal liaison, interpreter, guide, and friend who took my best interests to heart. If I was being overcharged somewhere they negotiated or brought me to where I would be treated fairly. I never had to worry about a thing. The surgeries were painless. I was followed very closely every day by an amazing, painless implantologist/surgeon. I received additional therapies to help in my healing process by friendly professional nurses and technicians. Truthfully, I felt pampered in every sense of the word. If you or anyone you know needs dental or plastic surgery you will not find a better, friendlier, more professional service than what Clear Choice offers.

If you're ever in need of a fantastic dentist, I highly recommend coming to San Jose, Costa Rica! After losing my front teeth and neighboring tooth in an accident at age 11, I've undergone numerous operations and tried almost every possible dental treatment by age 37. I've had to replace my front teeth every 10 years or so, especially during my younger years when I was still growing. I've been with Dr. Jehoavas Rafa for a couple of years now, and he's the first dentist who not only does a technically great job but also considers aesthetics - which is super rare, believe me! Highly recommend Dr. Jehoavas Rafa for professional and cosmetic treatment - he's one of the best dentists I've ever experienced!!
