I had two courses of dermal fillers.
The first a minor touch up using a deep filler that was fine.
The second treatment a year later was for much more extensive work to treat a facial wasting disease called facial lipoatrophy. I spent €1200 on two brands of deep fillers and treatment for wrinkles.
Initially the treatment seemed to be ok, except there was a great deal of bruising and swelling, I was treated for this immediately and reassured.
The type of filer used took around 2 months to develop much longer than usual.
During the last treatment review I expressed concerns of imbalances, an area where the filler had not taken, and treatment for wrinkles injections that had not activated completely.
It was explained to me that the area I was concerned about could not be filled due to the location of a facial nerve, I had specifically requested this area to be filled as it looked unbalanced next to the other filled areas, I have had this area treated many times successfully by doctors in london, so could not understand the unwilling response.
An area of frown lines that had been filled, 2 months later the filler had disappeared completely. I was told by Dr Guillem "It isn't my fault the filler has failed"
The treatment for wrinkles injections had not taken, it is usual practice for a top up to be administered in this case free of charge, I was told during the last consultation that it was available only after a 2 week period, this was not explained post treatment, however I received 2 telephone calls from the practice nurse I explained all of the issues that needed to be addressed and kept them informed as to when I would be able to attend. Due to essential travel to the UK I had to delay the appointment but made clear early that the issues needed to be corrected, and the nurse informed me it was fine as I had kept them informed.
I was offered extra treatment for wrinkles injections, extra fillers all at full cost to myself, I protested that it was unfair to expect me to pay in full to have imbalances corrected.
I feel I have been treated very unfairly, and the skill of the Dr is in question.
I was told I was "demanding" and basically ungrateful.
I have been left with an unbalanced result that often makes me look tired.
This is the worst experience I have had during the 10 years I have been receiving treatments for my facial condition.
I will now have to spend many hundreds of euros elsewhere to have these issues corrected.
The reception staff and nurses are all pleasant.
I do not trust the treatments offered.
