I needed cataract surgery that was affordable. Dr Kumar provided this and so much more. Throughout the experience, I felt as if I was in the hands of a highly professional, caring and skilled surgeon. The surgery was performed under local anaesthesia; not something is usually done in the US. Having now experienced both styles of anaesthesia for this procedure (I had the other eye done in the US years ago with much better health insurance) I can say that two styles of surgery are equally stress-less. The savings factor was large. After calculating all the costs including travel, lodging and meals, I saved over $1000.00. The medical care was excellent and the value is tremendous. The clinic served as a basic office for Dr Kumar. The actual procedure was performed at a nearby speciality hospital (it seem all doctor offices are termed as clinics in India). The facilities are simple but equipped with all that is needed. The staff was very professional and caring. Not all spoke English but arrangements were made prior to my arrival to see that I always had English speaking staff to help me through the process.

I had a freak accident 11/6/22 playing badminton where the shuttle hit the side of my left eye. I was under treatment by an opthalmologist since then as the accident resulted in development of severe cataracts. Wonderful doctor. I have had a fantastic result with upper eyelid surgery in June 2023 6 days after the operation I feel and look fabulous.
