Welcome to Maynooth Counselling and Psychotherapy, Maynooth’s most established private practice of qualified professional counsellors. Our counsellors cater to the wide range of emotional, psychological and relational issues presented and work with children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. We do so in a warm, grounded, ethical and non-judgemental way and respect the often vulnerable and painful feelings of our clients and the sensitive nature of what they may present. The centre itself was set up nearly 10 years ago by two therapists Evanna Lyons and Antonia Colom who saw a need for private counselling in the Maynooth area. The practice has since grown to include four qualified and caring therapists who endeavor to adhere to best practice at all times and keep updated on the latest training and continuous professional development. All are accredited members of the Irish Association of Counselling Psychotherapists.  We offer a low cost service (euro40-60) as we believe no client should be turned away on the basis of cost.  

 Elizabeth Hickey is a highly qualified and experienced Psychotherapist. She is extremely committed  to those seeking her help and strives to provide a friendly professional service.  Elizabeth has particular expertise in the area of Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome having done intensive training in this area. Situated along the leafy Drumcondra road and close to the city centre with great access to lots of bus links and a short walk to the intercity train station.. Access is by a code and on entering there is a flight of stairs leading to three lovely bright rooms. A small seating area with a coffee machine and newspaper to give you a few moments to relax. My room is bright,airy and well heated. it is quiet and confidential. All therapists are qualified and do a large range of therapies.  Appointment times are available and I try to ensure that you are never waiting any longer than a week for an appointment. 

Louise Cullen (MA Art Therapy, BA hons, Reg. IACAT) is a professionally qualified art therapist. She is fully accredited with the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists (IACAT) and adheres to their code of ethics. Louise provides art therapy services in Waterford City and throughout the South East region. Louise has a great deal of experience of working with both adults and children. 

A consultant paediatric outpatient clinic based in South County Dublin. Our staff comprises of three consultant paediatricians, Dr Turlough Bolger, Dr Brian Denham and Dr Emma Buckley with up to 40yrs experience in child health care. We provide care for children up to 14 years in a child friendly setting. Our services include routine 2 & 6 week check ups, newborn hearing screening, assessment for acute medical problems such as reflux, skin rashes, asthma, sleep and feeding problems, management of medical problems and developmental and growth assessments. We take both GP Referrals and self referrals.

Jade Mullen is a Counselling Psychologist, having qualified with a Masters in Counselling Psychology from UCC in 2007. Jade has experience in a number of areas, including autism, and has a particular interest in working therapeutically with parents of children with autism. Jade is also a lecturer and Year Head with PCI College and plays an integral role in the training of counsellors and psychotherapists within this College. Jade has a professional certificate in couples counselling and CBT and has experience in group facilitation. Issues Jade works with include, autism, anxiety, bereavement, couples counselling, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting issues, stress, panic, personal development and general personal issues. Jade offers a confidential, therapeutic space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences in a non-judgemental way. South County Dublin premises available also.
