Apurva Kumar is a psychologist (trained mental health professional), a passionate trainer, a researcher and pervading all these, a relentless seeker. He holds Masters of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the M S University of Baroda, Vadodara. He is an alumnus of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and Columbia University of New York City. 

He has counseled more than 1500 clients, conducted 100+ training on various topics such as counseling skills, stress management, positive parenting etc.; mentored MA/MS/MPhil and PhD researches of 50+ students. He has carried out more than 28 researches and published ten researches in peer-reviewed journals and books. He has received various scholarships, fellowships, awards and recognition for his work. 

He specializes in dealing with anxiety, depression, pre-marriage/relationship counseling, parenting issues, sexuality issues (expert for working with gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and hijra-GLBTH population), career counseling, research mentoring and academic writing. His simple ways emanate from clarity of his thought and purpose of life. His wisdom comes from deep reflections of day-to-day life experiences.
