Jayne holds a BSc (hons) in Physiotherapy from St. Georges, University of London and a BSc (hons) in Sports Science from Kingston University.
In recent years Jayne has worked in a variety of environments; including within the military, NHS and private companies. She has treated a diverse range of patients with complex conditions including lower limb blast injuries and has re-educated those with running gait patterns leading to shin and/or calf pain for example. She has also provided onsite physiotherapy for a variety of manual labour and office based occupations, and currently also works part time for an Occupational Health NHS team.
Jayne previously competed for the Great Britain Fencing Team; competing in tournaments around the world for 15 years. As a junior she was ranked in the top 50 in the World, and was ranked 1st in the British Senior rankings for over 18 months, winning every major domestic tournament. In 2010 she won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Fencing Games in the individual women’s epee category. Jayne has recently returned to the sport following injury and is already competing again at the highest level and aiming for inclusion in the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Jayne’s previous high-level sports participation and work within the military has developed a keen interest in exercise rehabilitation and movement patterns. Like Jenny, she also plans to complete her JEMs certification. She enjoys motivating her patients back to full fitness.
