Being a keen horse rider, dancer as well as a physiotherapist; I was finding that the aches and pains I was experiencing were getting more bothersome and were interfering with work and hobbies. As a dancer I had heard of Pilates as many dancers use Pilates as part of their training and rehabilitation from injury. I decided to give it a try and to my surprise discovered the simple but challenging exercises reduced the pain, and improved my performance due to my new found strength and muscle control! This experience encouraged me to pass on the benefits of Pilates and inspired me to train as a Pilates instructor. June 2002 BSc(Hons) Psychology.
