Lippstreu Physiotherapy

Qualified with a BSC (physio) from Cape Town University, South Africa in 1998. She worked in private practice there until moving to Edinburgh in 2001. She worked for six months in the NHS before practising from an established private physiotherapy clinic in Edinburgh until 2007. She was also team physiotherapist to a local rugby club for four seasons (2001 to 2004) and worked with Scottish Hockey under 21 teams for 3 years (2003 to 2005). She has continued her professional development by attending numerous courses e.g. Pilates, Acupuncture, Ergonomics, Fitforegolf etc. She is also a keen sportswoman having represented both South Africa (1996,1998, 1999) and Scotland (2006 to present) in Touch Rugby.

Remedial Massage Therapist. Interest in sport and fitness inevitably lead her into the health profession. She qualified in 2002 from the Australian College of Natural Medicine with a Diploma in Health Science-Remedial Therapies. Since then, she has had experience working in multidisciplinary teams working alongside physiotherapists, sports doctors, podiatrists, osteopaths, sports psychologists and chiropractors. Briana has been working in Edinburgh since 2005 and is qualified in a number of massage therapy techniques including Remedial, Sports, Deep Tissue, Swedish/Relaxation, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Aromatherapy. This allows her treatments to be tailored to each individual's needs. Briana is available for consultation at the Active Health Clinic.
