Highly recommended

4.5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I have been working with Marina after my left knee gave way suddenly about 6 months ago.

She has been terrific. I got a clear diagnostic assessment and a focused treatment plan that has been refined as I improved. I was really impressed that the treatment was clearly focused on what I was trying to achieve. It has paid off - am now back to dancing classes and long hill walks. Highly recommended.

Richard is a first class physiotherapist based in first class premises. His advice is clear and concise. I particularly like his use of videos that clearly reinforce any exercises prescribed for use at home between appointments. Very thorough approach, highly recommended

5 50 Sports Therapy • Paid: £30

I sustained a football injury concerning my knee and underwent an operation but I had quite a bit of muscle wastage following the operation. Richard organised a bespoke regime to build up the strength in the muscles surrounding this. I am no longer having the troubles as I know have the stability in my knee which I was lacking previously. Great manner, would definitely recommend.

Richard has had a wealth of experience, working within physiotherapy clinics, sports injury clinics and sports clubs. He became the lead physiotherapist at the prestigious Buckingham Clinic in Glasgow, where he specialised in spinal and disc conditions, becoming one of the UK’s most experienced IDD (non-surgical disc decompression method) practitioners. Richard is therefore proficient in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning of complex back and neck conditions.

shoulders • knees •ankles • elbows • hips • wrists • hands • leg pain • slipped discs • sciatica • lower back pain • neck pain • mid back pain • temporomandibular joint • sports injuries

As a guest practitioner at the Edinburgh Dental Specialists, Richard also provides a physiotherapy option for Temporomandibular Joint Disorder. Depending on the individual he will use a combination of massage, joint manipulation, exercise and acupuncture to help reduce pain and restore function to the patient.

Richard completed his first Masters degree at Northumbria University, and produced a research study into the provision of injury support in professional rugby union clubs.

He also recently finished his Post Graduate Certificate specialising in Neuro-Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University, and is looking forward to graduating with a second Masters degree and full eligibility to the Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in the next year.

In addition, having completed a Sports Science degree at Durham University, he has a keen interest in strength and conditioning, and the development of athletes of all ages.  As well as being a Pilates instructor, Richard is also a qualified Sports Massage Therapist and also provides acupuncture and dry needling techniques.
