About Focus Physiotherapy & Ergonomics

A combined physiotherapy and occupational therapy service is provided by the expert and experienced physiotherapists at this clinic located at Birkenhead in the Wirral Peninsula. Still having treatment for troublesome knee. Have every confidence that Jason will sort me out. He is really good!!!! Professional - knowledgeable and caring. Treatment mainly consisting of manipulation of joint. Definitely gives relief.

Here I am 3 months later walking the dog and actually enjoying it

I cannot recommend Jason at Focus Physio enough. When I started treatment for chronic sciatica I literally couldn’t walk or drive and had been referred to the pain clinic by the NHS. He explained everything to me and began a range of treatments including physio massage, stretching and acupuncture. He said I would be walking normally in 3 months (which I didn’t really believe) but here I am 3 months later walking the dog and actually enjoying it! I feel like I now have my quality of life back. He is an amazing physio and a really nice man too.

Went to see Jason on the 02/05/2019 after months of being in agony. Jason was very welcoming. After my treatment, I felt a bit better and the day after felt even better. Having more treatment on the 09/05/2019. Jason is amazing he is Mr fix it. Highly recomend and can't thank him enough for giving me some pain relief. Looking forward to my next appointment.

Biography:
Jason is a director of ‘Focus’ and still very much a practicing clinician, fulfilling a clinical physiotherapy role, as well as undertaking ergonomic work. Jason graduated from Liverpool University School of Physiotherapy in 1992. His formative Physiotherapy years were spent working at Aintree University Hospital. Following a number of years here, including time as a senior member of staff, working in the musculoskeletal out-patient department, he spent time working and travelling in Australia. He held a number of posts, whilst in Australia, including working with the Australian armed services in Darwin.
Following a return to the UK he has worked back in the NHS, in private practice and industry.His private practice work has included working with athletes from the ‘English Institute of Sport’.
He set up ‘Focus Physiotherapy and Ergonomics Ltd’ in 2005 alongside Treena.He graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Health Ergonomics, from the University of Surrey, in 2006.

Treena is a director of ‘Focus’. As well as carrying out a consultant role for the business, she works part-time within the NHS as an ‘Advanced Musculoskeletal Practitioner’ working with Spinal and Rheumatology Consultants.

Biography:
Helen qualified in Manchester in 1989 and has worked in the NHS and private sector subsequently. Her initial junior posts meant gaining a broad range of experience before specializing in musculoskeletal therapy. Helen treats a wide range of injuries as well as dealing with post-operative treatment and rehabilitation. She has a special interest in the treatment of spinal pain. She continues to undertake post-graduate training.  Her training  includes Maitland manual therapy and McKenzie diagnosis and treatment.
