Physiotherapist Biography:
She qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2005 from Salford University. She commenced her career at Salford Royal Hospital and worked there for 8 years, specialising in Musculoskeletal therapy, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology & Occupational Health. Rachel left the NHS in 2013 to tour with the musical theatre production of West Side Story, developing further skills within a sporting and dance environment. She has worked with a wide variety of elite athletes in high profile sports, including canoe slalom, diving, rowing, gymnastics & trampoline teams. She was involved with the London 2012 Olympic Games as a volunteer Physiotherapist, working with the basketball & handball teams. Rachel has also recently worked as team lead physiotherapist at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games for the diving events. She has gained a broad range of clinical skills and treatment techniques through the completion of numerous external qualifications, including acupuncture, osteopathic techniques, manual therapy, kinesiology taping, pilates & sports massage. Rachel is a current member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (ACPSEM).
