Jon qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1988 and then as a Registered Osteopath in 2000. His main interest is in sports injuries, with a strong focus on manual techniques. He is a member of Hardley Running Club, completed the London Marathon in 1996, swims and cycles regularly.
He is one of only a handful of therapists in UK using The Graston Technique, a groundbreaking technique from the USA, to resolve chronic musculoskeletal conditions and is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
Jon also uses The Dorn Method, a gentle and very effective treatment for back and joint pain, which is extremely safe and involves no forceful manipulation of joints.
Recently Jon has begun using The Sarah Key Method, an effective way of diagnosing and treating spinal pain and restriction. It is of most use on chronic spinal restriction.
Jon will tend to mix disciplines, incorporating Osteopathic and Physiotherapy techniques, as well as acupuncture and chiropractic approaches. He will tailor these in a way that will ensure that the patient receives maximum benefit as quickly as possible. Patients are always shown home exercises to increase the effectiveness of treatment and prevent a recurrence of their condition.
