Jonathan Clark Physiotherapy - Oxford Street

Since graduating from the University of the West of England in 2009, Jonathan quickly excelled to become a Specialist Physiotherapist for the NHS, working alongside NHS Consultants in the management of patients with complex musculoskeletal conditions. He has gained vital Sports Physiotherapy experience working at Bristol City Football Club then Southampton Football Club Academy, treating and rehabilitating the upcoming football stars of the future. He is now the Clinical Director of Jonathan Clark Physiotherapy Ltd, which he established in 2014, operating at 4 clinics across Hampshire. His team are responsible for not only treating members of the general public, but the University of Southampton’s staff, students, gym members, national standard bursary athletes and his company is recognised by major private medical insurers including BUPA, Nuffield Health, WPA, Simply Health, Aviva, Cigna, and Vitality Health.

Since graduating from Bournemouth University in 2010, Kerry has worked in the NHS for over 6 years becoming a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She continues to work part time within this role, allowing her to continue to work alongside the orthopaedic consultants on the ward and in clinics.

 

Throughout her career she has had a varied caseload having experience within respiratory care, neurology, orthopaedics, women’s health, hydrotherapy, specialist hand clinics and generic musculoskeletal outpatients. The majority of Kerry’s experience has come from working within a major trauma centre for the South of England, rehabilitating major trauma patients suffering from multiple injuries.  Treating these patients from critical ward care right through to the hydrotherapy pool and outpatient dry land. Kerry’s current role also involves treating the University Hospital of Southampton staff members.

 

In addition to her NHS Career, Kerry has worked within the private sector. This has included working in a gym alongside personal trainers as well as within an orthopaedic hospital setting. Kerry encountered a wide range of clients within these roles allowing her to develop a more holistic approach to her treatment.

She graduated from the University of Southampton with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and is the most recent member to join our team at Jonathan Clark Physiotherapy. Having spent some years living abroad in Dubai, Anna has experienced life in a multicultural environment and thus has a flexible approach to treating a diverse client base. Professional and proactive, Anna aims to prioritise the needs of patients, making treatment specific and functional. Using a fresh and innovative approach to rehabilitation, she strives to facilitate recovery and minimise the risk of future injuries.

Since graduating from Solent University in 2004, Ricky has gathered a wealth of knowledge and understanding about the body and musculoskeletal system. He worked for many years as Personal Trainer, a Fitness Instructor and a Swimming Teacher. He currently works as a Sports Coach and a Clinical Sport & Remedial Massage therapist and has now joined Jonathan at his clinic based at the University of Southampton.

 

Ricky studied at the London School of Sports Massage and graduated with an ISRM / BTEC (Level 5) Professional Diploma in Clinical Sport & Remedial Massage Therapy, allowing him to work to the highest level within the industry.

 

Ricky has had a passion for sport and the body since his youth when he swam competitively for his county and went on to be selected to join the National swimming squad. He has used his knowledge and experience to advise others in the field of sport and fitness, including health and nutrition. Through his experience and training, Ricky has learnt about the importance of massage therapies for rehabilitation and performance enhancement in competitive and recreational sports.

 

Ricky has developed an array of skills and techniques to effectively treat a wide range of patients, from elite athletes with sporting injuries to people from all walks of life with postural imbalances and soft tissue injuries. Ricky is highly professional and the quality and care he provides ensures the patients are as comfortable as possible while promoting quick and effective recovery to any injury scenario.

 

In his spare time, Ricky enjoys keeping fit and healthy, he always makes time for family and friends and gets a great deal of pleasure in entertaining people. He has travelled to many beautiful countries, dived with sharks, done a sky dive, bungee jump and worked on a ski season.

Liam graduated from the University of Birmingham with a MSc in Physiotherapy, prior to successfully completing a BSc in Sport and Exercise Science from Nottingham Trent University. He currently works with the NHS as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist treating a wide range of conditions, and joined Jonathan’s team in April 2016.

 

Liam has a real passion for providing the highest possible level of musculoskeletal care and draws upon his skills from his previous degree and experience working with Aston Villa Ladies FC to ensure every patient receives the highest level of care. Clinically, Liam has a real interest in holistic movement patterns, sports rehabilitation and applying the latest research into his practice, allowing him to tailor each patient’s rehabilitation to their specific goals.

 

Growing up Liam was a keen sportsman representing his county at age group cricket and football. Cricket remains a strong passion of Liam’s he is a keen cyclist, enjoys keeping fit and exploring the world!
