Physiotherapist Consultation Ms Clare Roche
Job Title: Physiotherapist Biography: Clare began the practice, with a partner in 1986. She is a member of the Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, entry to which is only gained by examination (arduous ones at that!) Her interests are principally in musculoskeletal problems including TMJs, but she also endeavours to maintain her skills in the treatment of neurological conditions such as strokes, MS and Parkinsons. She is also qualified to inject joints and other tissues when appropriate. She believes it is of vital importance for patients to understand the nature of their problem so that they are key players in the road back to full fitness. Successful rehabilitation depends on this. For most conditions it is an illusion that the patient's role is a passive one. Having had a go at most sports including amongst others marathon running, mountaineering, skiing, sailing , tennis, squash, diving and dragon boat racing (If you can call that a sport!) she retains a certain sympathy with the frustrated injured sportsman.
Ms Suzanne van Kessel
Job Title: Physiotherapist Biography: Suzanne joined the practice in 2002, and had taken over the practice from Clare in June 2013. She is Dutch and she did her physiotherapy studies in Hollland but has completed most post graduate education in England. As well as being an excellent therapist specializing in musculoskeletal problems, sports injuries and women's health she has also competed internationally in hang gliding and of course speaks a few other languages apart from english and dutch!
