Nikki has been a chartered Physiotherapist since 1995 and has worked in private practice for over 18 years, 14 of which have been as the owner of a hugely successful practice in Hertford formally known as The Varney Practice Hertford (now known as Barnes Physiotherapy). Nikki was first mentored by Mike Varney the founder of the Varney Practice. Mike was the lead Physiotherapist for a number of years at Tottenham Hotspurs before setting up the Varney Practice Hertford, Enfield and Harlow.
Nikki has successfully treated numerous injuries from chronic backs / necks to vast array of sports injuries and has been privileged to work with some top class athletes from the world of triathlon, running, football, swimming, rugby, boxing, mountain biking (North shore), MMA and Motorsports.
Nikki specialises in acupuncture, IMS acupuncture, osteopathic manipulations, joint dysfunction and sports injuries. She is also qualified in diagnostic ultrasound and has a specialised interest in Shockwave with combined therapy.
Nikki’s sporting background stems from being a competitive swimmer and a triathlete. As a triathlete she became a national age group champion at Llanberis long course championships in 2002 and qualified for the Hawaiian Ironman of which she completed in 2003.
