About Ann Leese
Ann is a Chartered Physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience and is registered with The Health Professions Council. After qualifying she initially worked for the National Health Service within the Physiotherapy Department of a large Sheffield teaching hospital and in more recent years moved into private practice. She now practices from a treatment room set up at her home in the Peak district. During this time she has gathered a wealth of experience treating a wide range of conditions.
She gained interest and trained in the Bowen Technique after having been successfully treated herself for a shoulder injury and is a registered practitioner with The Bowen Association Uk. She now uses the Bowen Technique as her main method of treatment as she finds that despite being a very gentle form of body work the results can be remarkable. She also uses her extensive background knowledge as a Physiotherapist to help with diagnosis and in teaching appropriate exercises and giving advice that can help support a return to health. She practices yoga daily and is able to use the knowledge she has developed through her practice and study of yoga in her work.
For many years she has had a keen interest in personal and spiritual development and alternative natural approaches to healing. She adopts a holistic approach to treatment taking into consideration all factors that may be contributing to a persons current state of health and well being.
