Grainne graduated from the University of Ulster in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiotherapy. She developed and consolidated her general physiotherapy knowledge and skills by rotating around various NHS hospital sites and areas before specialising in Continence, Obstetric and Gynaecological physiotherapy in 2010 when she took up post as a Specialist Physiotherapist within the NHS. Grainne has completed many post-graduate training programs including Manual Therapy for the Pelvic Floor, Visceral Mobilisation, Male Incontinence and Erectile Dysfunction and various workshops run by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Women’s Health (ACPWH). She became particularly interested in the assessment and treatment of Diastasis Recti due to its prevalence and associated implications with her clients. She became the first female physiotherapist in the UK and Ireland who is trained in the Tupler Technique®.
Grainne has also completed post-graduate training in the Sarah Key Technique, Kinesiotaping, APPI Pilates, Soceity of Orthopaedic Medicine modules and is a fully certified Bowen Therapy Practitioner.
Grainne is highly skilled in the assessment and treatment of both men and women with conditions such as Urinary/Faecal incontinence, Over-active Bladder, Diastasis Recti, Pelvic Organ Prolapse, Post-op Prostate Surgery, Pregnancy Related Back Pain/Pelvic Girdle Pain, Dyspareunia, Chronic pelvic pain, Vaginismus, and pelvic floor dysfunction.
