Hetty qualified from University of Amsterdam in 1988 in Physiotherapy and worked for the Whiston & St Helens Trust NHS hospitals, becoming a Senior Physiotherapist and finally clinically in charge of the Whiston Physiotherapy Department. She gained a variety of experience, in particular with orthopaedic conditions, musculo-skeletal problems and sports injuries. She worked in a private independent Hospital and then set up her own Physiotherapy Clinic in Prescot in 1994, treating private patients with musculo-skeletal and sports injury problems, treating a variety of back and neck problems, arthritic conditions and many more. At this time she gained a post-graduate diploma in Acupuncture to advanced level at the Nottingham University. The Acupuncture compliments her other physiotherapy skills to achieve speedier recovery of the patient. Furthermore, she expanded to set up a second Physio First Clinic in Warrington in 2003, treating acute sporting injuries and musculo-skeletal problems. She enjoys the variety of patients, from long term back and neck problems, to acute sporting injuries.
