Kevin Hunt -  at Spinal Physiotherapy and Sports Medicine Clinic

Mr Kevin Hunt

Biography:

Kevin is the chief physiotherapist at Spinal Physio. He graduated from University College Dublin in 1998. After working as a research assistant for the University on a movement analysis project, he took up a rotational post in a large Dublin  hospital specialising in neurosurgery. He then went to work in Australia, where he gained experience in a rehabilitation hospital helping those with multiple injuries from severe trauma and also worked in private practice.

He returned to Ireland and worked with the Galway Gaelic football team during their All Ireland football championship winning season in 2001. He moved to England to study for a Masters degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine which he completed in 2003 from the University of Nottingham. During this time he was the physiotherapist for the Nottingham Panthers Ice Hockey team.

Kevin moved to Cambridge in 2004 and after working as an occupational health  advisor for a large multi-national pharmaceutical company he set up the Spinal and Sports Medicine Clinic. Kevin is also a member of the Jockey injury management team for the professional jockeys association providing race day  at racecourses in the eastern region including Newmarket racecourse and also at Aintree for the Grand National. He also lectures at the British Horse Racing school in Newmarket and the University of Nottingham on injury management and prevention in horseracing. He has been a physiotherapist at multi sport events such as the UK school games since 2007 and part of the  team at the Equestrian events for the London 2012 Olympics.

Biography:

Nick qualified form Coventry University in 1993 with a BSc (Hons) degree in . He worked for 6 years in the NHS at several of Londons leading hospitals before deciding to further develop his career in the private sector. 

Nick is a Member of The Society of Medicine and applies a hands on approach to his treatment. His expertise is in treating  conditions and rehabilitation. 

Now in his 20th year as a physiotherapist, Nick has a gained extensive experience treating patients and working with some of Londons leading Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons. 

Nick is a qualified Golf Physiotherapist and a registered Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Golf Fitness Instructor (CGFI) Level 1. He offers screening assessments for all golfers keen to improve their technique and prevent injuries. A personalised programme and training advice will be given for you to follow in the gym or at your driving range/golf course. Working together with your golf club professional allows you to improve your game and reduce the risk of injury.
