About St Judes Physiotherapy Clinic

St Judes Clinic is a multi-disciplinary health clinic specialising in Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Pilates. We also offer a comprehensive range of treatments including Acupuncture, Women's health & Pregnancy care, massage and injury advice and treatment to patients from Leighton Buzzard and the local surrounding area. We also have a neurological physiotherapist.

Whether you are suffering from back pain such as whiplash, low back pain or sciatica or perhaps osteoarthritis of the joints our friendly Chartered Physiotherapists can help. Our Podiatrists treat all aspects of foot health from nail surgery and verrucae removal to biomechanics and alignment problems of the leg and feet. We also offer a medi-pedi which you can only find in a few clinics in the UK. This unique foot treat combines the skills of a Podiatrist with the pampering of a beauty treatment - minutes to younger looking and feeling feet. If you need to de-stress and unwind why not come in for a relaxing or sports massage in our tranquil relaxation room . We are also very lucky to have APPI Pilates instructors at St Judes, again there are only a few in the country. This means that teachers are also Chartered Physiotherapists so have a superior knowledge of the body and how the Pilates technique can best benefit the individual.

Here we are 4 weeks later and his knees are nearly pain-free

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation • Paid: £48

A fantastic treatment for my 10-year-old boy. My 10 yr old son was getting pain in his knees. This came on gradually over several months until it started keeping him awake at night. I had used the physios at St Jude's over 20 years ago and was impressed then, so gave them a call. It was Saturday and the receptionist was really helpful, took all the details and explained we don't normally treat children. She went off to speak with one of the clinicians and rang us back about an hour later to say that this physio (Charlotte) was pleased to have a look at my son's knees and that she would come in 1-hour earlier on Monday to squeeze in an extra appointment for him. This she did. She was very thorough and here we are 4 weeks later and his knees are nearly pain-free. He has got some more exercises to do but we are well on the way to recovery. I would recommend this clinic to everyone.

I can honestly say it looks and feels like a completely different scar already

5 50 STT - Soft Tissue Therapy • Paid: £46

I had been struggling with an extremely uncomfortable caesarean section scar for nearly 5 years, to the point where I looked into surgery! I could not bend or stretch without experiencing burning, stinging, itching etc, basically feeling like I was ripping in two! I had quite a traumatic delivery and so the painful scar was just a constant reminder of the things that had not gone to plan. My scar was also very angry looking and hard to the touch. The skin broke open regularly, adding to the misery for far too long.

I saw an advert for Scar treatment with Jo Dyson and although I was as nervous as anyone can be, I went along for my first treatment and can honestly say that I haven't looked back! After just 1 session I was able to bend, squat, put my socks on (things that I have not been able to do since my C Section in 2014). I have since had 2 more sessions and I can honestly say it looks and feels like a completely different scar already!

My only regret is that I hadn't found this treatment and Jo Dyson sooner. I would certainly highly recommend this to anyone who is struggling with uncomfortable/painful scars.

They always manage to fix me and send me on my way

5 50 Acupuncturist Consultation • Paid: £45

I have been going to St Jude's for years. I am someone who runs quite a lot so I end up with plenty of injuries, aches and pains and each time I go to St Jude's they always manage to fix me and send me on my way. The whole team are fantastic but I would like to give a particular shout out to Charlotte who is someone you can put 100% faith in that she will give you the very best advice and treatment.

Treated by: Mrs Charlotte Lyons

Thanks very much for your kind review Matt - we are pleased to get you back on track to the sport you love. We do have a great physio team and Charlotte is fab and especially good with running issues. Hope to be of service again. Kind regards, St Judes.

He did an awesome job of bringing my feet back from the dead

5 50 Chiropodist Consultation • Paid: £50

I’d been to have medi-pedi's in my 30s in London, but I’d not found a suitable place to go locally until I booked at St. Jude’s. I booked way in advance as the medi-pedi service is very popular. Arrived, receptionists were very friendly and filled in the regulation forms. A couple of minutes later I was called upstairs by Jack. He did an awesome job of bringing my feet back from the dead! The time flew by and I have no idea how he did it, but by some trick of wizardry, my feet now feel amazing! Seriously I would recommend to anyone that is on their feet all day or suffers from dry/hard skin on their feet. My feet really felt *lovely* afterwards and still, do!

Treated by: Mr Jack Lidyard

Hi Charlotte, Thank you so much for taking the time to review your recent Medi-Pedi at St Judes Clinic with Jack. It's great to hear your feet are looking and feeling great - a treat I think we all deserve! This nice thing about a Medi-Pedi at St Judes is that unlike other beauty pedicures, we don't do a quick file and polish but concentrate on making your feet look great but also stay healthy and nourished. Thanks again - we really appreciate your review.

5 50 Massage

The treatment I received at St Jude's for physiotherapy treatment was 5 star. It was a treatment for lower back pain and I had instant relief from the pain and will recommend this clinic, to friend's, family and anybody who requires quality treatment.

after just 2 sessions she resolved the problem with my ribs

5 50 Pilates

For almost 6 months I had persistent pain in my ribs after a bad fall from a ladder - also problems with my back, which worried me greatly as I have always been active and done lots of exercises. I saw Moira at the clinic and was instant, hugely impressed. She is so knowledgeable - also very nice - and after just 2 sessions she resolved the problem with my ribs (which I honestly thought would be there for life). She is now sorting out my back with remedial Pilates - again everything is perfectly explained, and already I'm feeling the benefits. I can't recommend St Jude's highly enough.

Treated by: Mrs Moira D'Arcy

Thank you very much for your review Laura - we are so pleased you have benefited from Pilates and your rib pain has gone. Pilates is particularly beneficial for the prevention and rehabilitation of back injuries, as it retrains the deep abdominal and spinal muscles. We are very lucky to have 2 APPI Pilates instructors, who are also Physiotherapists, at St Judes. Once again, thank you for taking the time to review us.

The registration process and subsequent treatment plan were professionally done

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I saw Mrs Jo Dyson at St Jude's for six sessions of physiotherapy.
My daughter had previously attended there for shoulder injury with a different clinician. Her experience was very positive.

My injury was carpal tunnel syndrome on both hands; more so on my right hand. Clear explanations were given, there was time to ask questions and printed exercise sheets with instructions provided. The service provided was value for money (VFM).

The reception was very efficient and friendly. The registration process and subsequent treatment plan were professionally done. Lots of helpful advice were give. I also received some back workouts and massages. With advice to practice on what was helpful about an upright sitting posture and other simple ideas to follow.

The atmosphere is relaxed. I was given practice workout sessions to do at home. The review was done at each appointment. Jo is a fantastic clinician. Thank you, I am relatively pain-free now. I will continue to practice the lessons learnt.

Treated by: Mrs Jo Dyson

Thank you very much for your reply Daphne - Jo really is a great physiotherapist! We are very lucky to have such an expert team of experienced Chartered Physiotherapists here at St Judes in Leighton Buzzard. We strive to friendly and professional treatment and hope to be of service to you again. Once again, thank you for your kind review.

The treatment recommended was effective almost immediately and I am well on the way to recovery

5 50

I suffered from severe pain in my left ankle and my GP referred me to St Jude's where they diagnosed a problem with my tibialis posterior. I was fitted with some orthotic arch supports which quickly reduced the pain considerably. I was also advised on what to do and what not do to aid the recovery of my ankle.

My experience with St Jude's was excellent. They saw me very quickly. The podiatrist was very professional, very knowledgeable and diagnosed my problem very quickly. The treatment recommended was effective almost immediately and I am well on the way to recovery.

Overall the treatment was good value for money, as expertise is never cheap

4.5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation • Paid: £350

Following a slip on my front doorstep, I had badly damaged my left shoulder. I was unable to lift the arm away from my body and changing gear when driving was painful and difficult. The same day I had a 10 minute free consultation and started treatment within the week. Moira was able to diagnose the problem and with pain relief, anti-inflammatory cream regularly applied, strapping and exercise to strengthen damaged tendons the condition gradually improved. Overall the treatment was good value for money, as expertise is never cheap. Today, a year on the shoulder is pain-free and fully mobile allowing me to get on with retirement and travel, something I thought might not be possible a year ago.

The staff from reception to therapists were all very professional and friendly. They appeared genuinely concerned about my condition and went out of their way to help get me swift attention, coming in on days off and working around my daily schedule. The offer of a cup of tea while waiting for my session was welcome and put me at ease. The politeness and positive nature of the staff treating me was most welcome. The surroundings were relaxed and very clean without being unduly clinical. Overall my experience at the clinic was a very positive one.

I felt completely cared for and had huge empathy right from the start

5 50 Physiotherapist Consultation

I cannot recommend this Clinic highly enough. I was actually recommended it by someone after I had a shock diagnosis of Osteoporosis. I felt completely cared for and had huge empathy right from the start from the receptionist who got me an appointment very quickly. I now do a fabulous Pilates class which I absolutely LOVE and always sleep well at night!! Will continue with these as long as I can.

Mixed my review with Clinic and treatment. But overall a very friendly, caring environment. Would totally recommend the Clinic and will always go back myself when needed.

Thank you so much for your review Tania - I'm so pleased you were happy with your treatment and found all our team friendly and helpful - it's certainly what we aim to do! I'm glad you are doing well and enjoying the great Pilates classes with Moira. Thanks again :-)
