Motus Melior

One of the region’s most distinguished scientists and experts in the fields of sports science and sports medicine, applied physiology, and motor control. He was awarded two state prizes for science in recognition of his exceptional scientific achievements. He has served as a physical conditioning coach/consultant for many athletes, clubs and national teams. He has helped many of his clients to rebuild their motor control and locomotor functions following musculoskeletal injuries. He has attended a number of prestigious international seminars and formal education training sessions and has been invited to speak at top international scientific and professional conferences. He serves as the director of Motus Melior and coordinates all of its departments.

A renown scientist, innovator, and expert in the fields of sport, physical therapy, and rehabilitation with over 15 years of experience working with elite athletes, especially tennis and basketball players. He holds qualifications from two institutions of higher learning in Ljubljana, Slovenia (physical therapy and kinesiology); he earned a Ph.D. in neurophysiology, and completed his postdoctoral training in Germany. He has made practical use of his extensive knowledge by developing innovative assessment systems and equipment for use in sports medicine and functional rehabilitation. At Motus Melior, he heads the Department of Functional Rehabilitation and Corrective Therapy.

He was one of the first nutrition specialists to launch a nutrition counseling center, where he has acquired extensive experience helping his clients to achieve health-related and personal goals. He has worked with a number of recreational and professional athletes. He often delivers interactive instructional lectures to pharmacists, doctors, athletes, various civil organizations, and laypeople. His areas of interest include the nutrition-based treatment of obesity (weight loss diets), nutrition supplements, and nutrition for athletes. He is a member of PINES (Professionals in Nutrition for Exercise and Sport) – an international professional society of sport nutrition experts. At Motus Melior, he heads the Department of Nutrition.
