Mark qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 1978 after which he returned to his native Yorkshire and established Wakefield Osteopaths in 1979. He has gradually been joined by the team of osteopaths and complementary therapists, making it one of the largest practices in West Yorkshire. Mark is primarily a structural Osteopath with the emphasis on education to help his patients understand what their symptoms mean to help them manage their conditions. After 38 years in practice he still finds it stimulating and rewarding when helping his patients.

Andrew qualified from the British School of Osteopathy (London) in 1988 and after working in Wakefield, Rochdale, Chester and Liverpool established his own practice in Halifax in 1990 - The Pain and Injury Clinic. Andrew now divides his time between his own practice, Wakefield Osteopaths and lecturing at Leeds Metropolitan University. He has post-graduate qualifications in Naturopathy (British College of Naturopathy and Osteopathy 1996) and Osteopathic sports care (Leeds Metropolitan University 2008). He is currently undertaking a postgraduate teaching qualification in higher education at The British School of Osteopathy.

Maziar qualified from the European School of Osteopathy in 1985 and joined Wakefield Osteopaths where his experience as a structural Osteopath has been invaluable to the practice.

Alexia qualified from the European School of Osteopathy in 1990. She joined Wakefield Osteopaths soon after where she works on Mondays and Fridays. She also runs a practice from her home in South Elmsall. She is originally from Solihull, West Midlands but of Greek Cypriot origin. Living in the Wakefield area for over 25 years. She treats a broad spectrum of musculo-skeletal conditions ranging from acute muscular and joint pain to long term chronic ailments such as arthritis. Specialising in acute symptoms of pain and immobility using mostly structural techniques (manipulative thrusts) and soft tissue massage. Alexia is keen to advise her patients on self-help and education to help manage their pain and reduce recurrent flare ups of their condition.

After 17 years in mining and offshore industries, Ranza decided to change career to the medical field, choosing Osteopathy because of its ‘hands-on’ approach to treatment. She qualified as an Osteopath, with honors, in 2008 and since then has enjoyed a patient list with plenty of variety, with age ranges from newborn to elderly. She is particularly interested in treating patients with complex problems that require a range of skills and uses structural, cranial and visceral approaches. She continues to undertake postgraduate studies with some of the world’s leading osteopaths and has special interest in musculo-skeletal and/or visceral problems; cranial osteopathy; the nervous system; trauma; pediatrics and pregnancy care.
