Having performed over 3500 Metal-on-Metal Hip Resurfacings over the course of 20 years, he is the most experienced surgeon in this field. Over the years, Mr McMinn has built up a team of dedicated staff who are passionate about their role as facilitators of patient care. Our research has led to over one hundred pieces of published literature in the last few years with several original citations and papers. I am currently a Consultant at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and a member of the Greater Manchester and Oswestry Sarcoma Service (GMOSS). I have been a Consultant since 2016. I perform hip and knee replacements along with knee arthroscopy for meniscal and cartilage conditions. My specialist interest is in musculoskeletal oncology in particular soft tissue sarcomas. I completed my medical degree at the Royal Free and University College London medical school in 2003 and undertook my early surgical training here in the North West. My specialist post-graduate training in Trauma & Orthopaedics was in the East Midlands (South) T&O rotation. I subsequently completed fellowships in lower limb arthroplasty and sarcoma in Leicester, Nottingham and Wrightington hospitals.
