Biography:
Ashley Carr was born and educated in Melbourne, completing his medical degree at Monash University in 1997. He undertook orthopaedic specialty training in Victoria and obtained his fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007. Ashley then spent 12 months at the Orthopaedic and Arthritic Institute in Toronto, Canada, focusing on hip and knee surgery. In 2009 he undertook further training in shoulder surgery at the highly regarded Schulthess Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland. Later that year he was awarded the Orthopaedic and Trauma Care Foundation visiting fellowship in trauma surgery to Hong Kong. While overseas Ashley gained valuable experience in the management of hip and knee conditions, from sporting injuries to primary and revision joint replacement; and in all aspects of shoulder surgery including arthroscopic procedures. Ashley joined the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group in 2011. He works at the Alfred Hospital as an Orthopaedic Consultant Surgeon involved in the immediate and long term management of major trauma patients, and also regularly consults and operates in Gippsland at Latrobe Regional Hospital.

Biography:
Tim Schneider was born in Melbourne. He completed his medical training at Monash University. After working for some time at the Alfred Hospital and Monash Medical Centre he went on to advanced orthopaedic training with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He spent some time as a locum orthopaedic surgeon in country Victoria before travelling to Texas and Italy to complete foreign fellowship in Foot and Ankle surgery and Ilizarov external fixation techniques. He was the Foot and Ankle fellow at University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston Texas with a particular interest in ankle arthroplasty, hindfoot reconstruction, diabetic foot disease and forefoot disorders. He went on to take a position as visiting fellow at Ospdedale di Lecco in Northern Italy. This is an international centre for the study and application of Ilizarov external fixation techniques. He returned to Melbourne to take up a position as a visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon at Monash Medical Centre and Sandringham Hospital as part of the Bayside and Alfred Health networks. From January 2011 he works exclusively at the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group in Windsor and Hawthorn

Mr Jonathan Baré is an Australian and internationally trained orthopaedic surgeon. He specializes in hip and knee surgery including the treatment of sports injuries and arthritis. He was born and educated in Melbourne, completing his medical degree at Monash University in 1992. He undertook orthopaedic training in Melbourne and obtained a fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2003. Jonathan completed further training overseas. He spent 18 months in Oxford, UK, as a fellow at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre specifically training in complex knee surgery. He then spent a further 12 months working at the University of Western Ontario (London, Canada) focusing on revision hip and knee surgery. During his overseas training Jonathan gained experience in sports surgery, osteotomy of the hip and knee, hip arthroscopy and all aspects of hip and knee replacement surgery. He was also involved in research and medical education.
