BSc Acupuncture, BA English, BTEC Complementary therapies
My primary training is in Traditional Chinese Medical acupuncture and therapeutic massage techniques. I have studied with accomplished Traditional Chinese doctors for three years to obtain a BSc Acupuncture at the University of Lincoln. This course included both Western and Eastern approaches to healthcare. Previous to this degree, I have trained in Therapeutic massage, Aromatherapy and Reflexology which I have practiced for over ten years.
My treatments will work along side whatever you are already doing with other health professionals. I have helped people with back pain, frozen shoulders and other painful conditions find relief without resorting to drugs or surgery. I have helped women with PMT, menopausal horrors and infertility. I have helped depressed, anxious and panicky people feel much better. I have treated thousands of people in my clinical practice with acupuncture, massage and reflexology and ear-candling.
I have completed post-graduate courses with some of the best in my profession: Richard Tan’s Balance Method Acupuncture, Naturechild Fertility Support, Chinese Medicinal Aromatherapy with Jeffery Yuen, Sinew Channel theory with Tim Sullivan, Thermo-auricular therapy, Shiatsu, Maternity Reflexology, Sports Massage, EFT. I continue to seek out therapeutic skill and understanding at a theoretical and practical level by studying and attending CPD courses and hosting them at my clinic for fellow therapists.
I am passionate about bringing acupuncture as an effective medicine to a wider portion of my community. I have run multi-bed/community clinics in various areas around Lincoln. I trained with Lisa Rohleder and Skip Van Meter in how to run a community clinic. I belong to the Association of Community and Multibed Acupuncture (ACMAC) and the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA) in the USA. Here are comments from lots of clients who have found my treatments very beneficial.
I am also an enthusiastic tai chi player/teacher and have studied with wide variety of tai chi and qigong teachers: mostly Master Yang Jun, Zhixing Wang, Daverick Leggett, Brad Richecouer and Peter Deadman. I teach a weekly tai chi and qigong classes.
HERE’S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: I really do want to help you, BUT you must take full responsibility for your health and have confidence in your innate abilities to change and heal. I am your well trained guide with a shed/office full of quite useful tools. Work with me and see if you don’t feel better…
