About Kevin Campbell Physical Therapist & Reiki Master'

Kevin Campbell

I had always been interested in healing throughout my adult life, but was not ready to explore it until recent years. Up until 2004, I worked in a job which held little stimulation for me and I lived mainly for  weekends. When I was made redundant in 2004 , I decided to use the opportunity to finally follow my dream. I began by studying Neuro-Muscular Therapy and Sports Massage, because of my keen interest in football, and enjoyed the courses immensely.

During my first year as a qualified Neuro-Muscular therapist, I developed a strong interest in Reiki healing, and qualified as a Reiki and Seichim Master in 2007.  I found that many aspects of my life began to change in a positive way, and still continue to change. After completing all the levels of Reiki/Seichim, I went on to do further  energy work with Kathleen Milner (founder of Tera-Mai Reiki), including working with Sakara and Cahokia energies.

While working part-time as a Sports Massage and Reiki therapist, I returned to College, this time to study Naturopathy. I was interested in learning in-depth about topics including Bach Flower Remedies, Tissue Salts and Iridology, so that I could integrate this knowledge into my Energy Healing and Sports Massage practice.

In the recent years since I began to follow my heart, and to do what I truly loved, I have achieved more  than I had in all my years up to that point. As well as achieving my qualifications in the various therapies, I was also accepted into the Referee School of Excellence, where I graduated in 2011. Also in the last couple of years I have raised money for charity by running for fun in the Mini-Marathon, and training  for a fund-raising White Collar Boxing match which raised €1200 for the Jack and Jill Foundation. I truly believe that Reiki has given me the positive energy and confidence to achieve all I have done in the last few years, and that in the future it will continue to help me grow and learn.

Kevin has great anatomical knowledge

5 50 Sports Massage • Paid: €45

I am a keen amateur runner and have had several massages in the past, but was never fully happy to settle until I met Kevin. Kevin has great anatomical knowledge and can really help you understand why you're in pain, so it's not just a massage for temporary relief. He gave me exercises to help strengthen weak muscles and recommended nutritional steps to prevent the problem getting worse and improve my overall health. I felt I was really getting my monies worth and will continue there from now on.

Immediately put me at ease

5 50 Deep Tissue Massage • Paid: €40

I found this clinic while browsing online. I was extremely happy with every aspect of my treatment. The building was warm and inviting and oozing character, yet relaxing. Kevin the guy doing my massage was friendly and polite and immediately put me at ease. The massage itself was pure heaven and Kevin made sure at all times the pressure etc was okay. I had trouble with my hand and it's the first time ever it was sorted long term. There was no rushing and I got every minute of the massage with plenty of time to undress, dress and have a glass of water. Can't fault treatment or Kevin in any way.

NMT - Neuromuscular Therapy

Neuro-Muscular/Sports Massage Therapy is a treatment that utilizes specific massage therapy and flexibility stretching to eliminate the causes of most neuromuscular pain patterns. This specific and scientific approach to the treatment of muscular pain brings about balance between the musculo-skeletal system and the nervous system.

Neuro-Muscular Therapy enhances the function of joints, muscles and movement. Using Sports Massage and a number of different techniques including Muscle Energy Techniques, Soft Tissue Release and Positional Release on soft tissue injuries, this therapy can speed up recovery, reduce scar tissue and help return an injured area to its full function. It can also be used post-operative, where areas of the body have become restricted due to surgery, or after a period of time in plaster, and can help return the affected areas back to their full range of movement.

What Conditions can Neuro-Muscular Therapy Treat?

Conditions that can be successfully treated by NMT include: Back, Neck, Arm and Shoulder Pain, Hip, Knee, Leg and Foot Pain. It can also treat Scoliosis, Whiplash, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Sciatica, Tendonitis, Spasms, Cramps, Strains, Postural Distortion and Repetitive Strain Injury.

The oldest documentation of Reflexology is inscribed on a tomb drawing of an ancient Egyptian Physician of Saqqara and dated 2330-2500BC. In Reflexology the term ‘Reflex’ means Reflection. Reiki

Tera - Mai Reiki Seichem is a very powerful, natural hands-on healing energy. It is a wonderfully simple but effective form of hands-on healing, using universal energies to heal the mind, body and spirit. Reiki is a holistic form of healing which treats the physical body and mind together, strengthening the bodys own healing ability and rebalancing its energy.

Reiki was rediscovered about 3000 years ago by a Japanese monk, Dr Mikao Usui. He passed on his knowledge to others who have since spread Reiki around the world. Tere - Mai Seichim is an advenced form of Reiki where you get a deeper more powerful healing.

Reiki energy makes its own way to the area in need of treatment. Reiki has proved to be of great benefit for a broad range of conditions. It is increasingly used to complement conventional therapies in hospitals world-wide. Many people who suffer with migraine, asthma, skin conditions, ulcers, orthopaedic injuries or arthritis, as well as numerous other ailments, have noted vast improvements in their health. The gentle Reiki energy is also effective in calming the mind and spirit, and has helped many people with anxiety and depression. People with low levels of self-esteem and poor self-confidence have also noted remarkable differences in their lives after experiencing Reiki.

However, Reiki does not promise a miraculous cure from illness or disease. Conditions that have taken years to manifest in the physical body cannot be cured in a few sessions. The person also probably needs to make some lifestyle changes so that the source of stress and negative emotion (dis-ease) does not re-occur. It takes time for the Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual aspects of the self to be brought back into balance.
