Dr. Hakimzadeh received her Medical degree from Tulane University, in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1992, and her residency at Wayne State University’s Kresge Eye Institute in 1997. Doctor Hakimzadeh received her board certification in ophthalmology from the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been in private practice since 1997. She specializes in cataract surgery, LASIK surgery, and diagnosis and treatment of major eye diseases such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. She is on staff at Crittenton and William Beaumont Hospitals. She is a member of a number of professional societies including, The American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and International Society of refractive Surgery.
